This Saturday I have a brand new video screening for the first time! It’s a little portrait of my mom’s dementia and me dealing with being a long distance caregiver for the last few years, using a recorded phone call and vintage family photos.
It’ll be at the experimental shorts program in the Portland Panorama film festival.

It’s been a year now of my daily Drawing the News project. I’m documenting the fascist takeover we are living through and how it’s being reported. Hopefully it stands out and helps people be informed in a different way from just sharing news articles. It’s also an endurance piece - I’m going to do it until he’s not in power anymore.
I took a quick trip to Seattle to see my video Fog Mirror in a screening as part of the South Sound Experimental Film Festival. It was a cool program with good curation and Northwest Film Forum is a rad spot!
The video is made out of found photos from Flickr, which I post daily at @forgotten_flickr

The name of our band is Deathstyle and we play Metallica covers. We’re not very good - but that’s part of the charm!
We’re looking to play a few shows - something like a party or a Halloween show.

I have a video in the new Portland Panorama film festival! It’s a piece that explores nostalgia made out of found photos from Flickr, the photo sharing website from 20 years ago (that is still around).
Also follow @forgotten_flickr where I post daily Flickr finds!

Boathouse Microcinema is back! Bryan Boyce and I are running a revival season this spring - doing screenings of local experimental filmmakers for the first time since 2019. The screenings so far have been well-attended with good vibes!
And we were in the Willamette Week Spring Arts Guide!
