De film volgt Mabel en Nick, een stel dat worstelt met emotionele en fysieke instabiliteit. Samen met regisseur Laurens Aneca onderzoeken ze hoe je liefde en zorg kunt behouden als de wereld om je heen wankelt.​

Theatre makers Colette Goossens and Stan Martens (a couple in real life) were deeply moved by 'A Woman Under the Influence' (1974) by John Cassavetes. The film follows Mabel and Nick, a couple struggling with emotional and physical instability. Together with director Laurens Aneca, they explore how to hold onto love and care when the world around you falters.​
🎬 Bonus: Sphinx cinema in Ghent will screen 'A Woman Under the Influence' in a one-time event on 18 May, the perfect pairing with the performance.

Volgende week gaat de nieuwste voorstelling van Moved by the Motion in première. In 'strike' ontleden ze met flamenco, dans, muziek en film de meest bekende mythe uit de operageschiedenis.
Met live improvisatie, geluidslagen en visuele experimenten onderzoeken de makers hoe we geweld in representatie kunnen doorbreken.
