So my first big day of directing! Lotta lessons learnt - which sounds like it was a bad day. And after some people couldn’t make it and roles had to be doubled up - it could have been! But It really wasn’t! Just learning how long some things take, how different camera angles can be when it’s video. The amount of legal stuff that happens before a shoot. For a group of people that had never met before, or only worked together once or twice - we all got on so well! There was fabulous improv happening; I just wish I had the money to pay them all! This Mr President is a remarkable record… We kicked off the Valentine weekend with a bang - a magnificent bassed up presentation of W at the amazing @ashburtonarts venue with a QnA with the director/editor @daniel.howard.baker and Cultural Vibes’s very own Dave Green (aka Verdi) to a sold out crowd! Verdi also did an incredible acid house set afterwards. A legendary return to form with the same records used at the Warehouse, as well as unhinged bonkers rave snaps.
