Labour Day’s video prem and session at Rezzy was fresh. Great to see riders old and new from all over Melbourne, interstate and internationally, sending it. Some kids from reservoir rolled in and did burn outs on e-scooters and Saurons, plus a car did a hektik wheel spin drifting past too.
@jimmah_ tried rail ride to flip, gave it a solid huck but came unstuck and broke his collar bone.. sending healing thoughts his way.
@eggmanbmx won the rail long jump,
@tariq.4130 did a sweet wall 360 over a bin,
@ttermite900 is injured and still rode the entire length of the prem’s screening wall off kickers that he and Cal made for the event that day.
It was a spin out thinking back to the opening of the reservoir skatepark upgrade around 15 years ago (one of the most low budget but highly successful upgrades in history, utilising old street furniture and obstacles), and seeing it still flourishing by being used to host DIY events like this. What a success.
