After loving Barry’s playing for years with Rose City Band, we’re elated to be sharing his debut solo album on Thrill Jockey ‘Paleo Sol’ today. The pedal steel connoisseur joins forces with Rob Smith (Animal, Surrender!, Gray/Smith, Rhyton, Pigeons) on drums and Jason Willmon (Mouth Painter, Fruited Planes) on bass. The result is the wonderful and groundbreaking (pardon the geological pun, you’ll certainly see more over the next few months) new record. Both records out now for your enjoyment.
