Transmissions into the void (2024) Transmissions into the void explores the temporal nature of improvisation and the inevitable decay of information, transforming the space into an immersive sound and light machine. Influenced by science fiction and the modular design principles of modern engineering, the room becomes a dynamic interface between viewer and technology. At the centre is a circular portal of light, an instrument to interact with the installation. As a viewer moves their hands through the portal, their gestures are transformed into digital signals that control the sound within the room. This semi-tactile experience evokes the sensation of reaching across dimensions, physically touching sound itself. Ultimately, the piece serves as a meditation on the temporal fragility of all information and data—whether biological, digital, or analogue — and how time irreversibly erodes it. A sequencer I developed to explore organic non-quantised rhythms. Lately I've been obsessed with organic micro-rhythms that occur in nature. While these are rarely used in western music, it is common in a lot of afro-influenced styles like Gnawa and Samba. It was a fun challenge to replicate these organic rhythm loops using the precision of computers and logic systems. Everytime the playhead (the colored sphere) intersects one of the circles, a note is triggered. Each of the 8 circles can be programmed to play any note (just like any other sequencer). A circular motion of the playhead results in a typical quantised rhythm where the time interval between each note remains constant. But using sine wave functions to control the X-Y position of the playhead results in more complex motion loops. These loops in turn produce organic non-quantised rhythms. How do you reconstruct a mining barge from 3 million data points — and turn it into an immersive experience ? Multi-layered immersive installations involve an enormous amount of technical problem-solving. @claudeai has become an invaluable collaborator in my technical workflow — helping me move faster, think deeper, and realize ideas that would otherwise take far longer to execute. In this video I walk through how I used Claude along with @touchdesigner to build my latest installation, “Limits of Perception”, shown at @slingshot_festival in Mumbai. The piece explores the abstractness of human perception — how it’s shaped and constrained by our senses, past experiences, cognitive understanding, and the limits of living in three dimensions. Altered Space (2026) Visualizing the algorithms that dominate our online media feeds, this installation aims to reveal the hidden layers of the internets back end—where data is king and our personalities are reduced to graphs and user preferences. The piece raises questions about freedom of choice and how Big Tech manufactures our consent. The installation was commissioned by @blrhubba and was on display at Freedom Park, Bangalore, from January 16th–25th, 2026. Formerly a pre-independence jail, the venue hosted various artworks that interrogated the theme of ‘Freedom’ as interpreted by each artist. Phonetics of Space (2025) Housed within the crew quarters of a mining barge, the audio-visual installation illuminates the concealed systems of the physical world. The visuals move across scales, from quantum mechanics to the cosmic - tracing hidden structures that shape one’s experience of reality. The visuals are concealed behind a layer of polarized light. A mechanical arm guides the viewers experience of the visuals, enabling them to peak through a tiny moving window to experience the visuals. Light - itself a quantum phenomenon, here becomes both the medium and the subject. Just as phonetics gives voice to silence by articulating sound from breath, the installation renders visible the hidden systems of space and time.
