Throwback to The Maze—we are all constantly navigating a world that feels like an intricate labyrinth, concealed behind the facade of culture, tradition, norms, patriarchy, and more. A maze that shifts, manipulates, and often entraps the vulnerable.
For The Maze, we explored live interactive creative technology to add another dimension to the performance. The process wasn’t easy—curveballs kept coming, and my original collaborator backed out at the last minute. But then, three incredible angels—
@framingmovessf ,
@msomil , and
@jackdilaura —came to my rescue. Across continents, they programmed and executed an incredible interactive projection design in just two weeks before the premiere! And what a joy the collaboration was.
Then, when things felt impossible,
@mrinaalika stepped in to create several stunning animations, filling in the gaps when there was too much to do in too little time. I’m incredibly grateful to these amazing people who made this vision come to life ❤️
I can’t wait to build on this and present it again.
