POMPEJI typeface by Lisa Semrau (@no_semse ) is inspired by the graffiti of ancient Pompeii. At that time, these graffiti were scratched into walls with a pointed object. Properties, forms and emotions of the Pompeian graffiti translated into a modern and contemporary context. The main featured of the font are its acurate attitude and static, geometric at the same time fluid appearance. Many connections that can be made with neighboring letters. Jippih ich durfte beim Kieler Woche Plakat Wettbewerb 2024 mitmachen! about design: KIWO Festival 24 shines like a lighthouse, at day and night, on rainy days and in the sunshine. The >24< shows a wave and a sailing boat, drawing attention to the sailing event. Nautical details in the background such as the identyfication rings from the lighthouses around the fjord as well as the festival dates of the event and an abstract city shape of Kiel combine the maritime flair of the event.
