Sensational discovery! Unfinished Vertical Rothko found on Crete!
A few weeks ago, the finding of a Vertical Rothko in Hamburg-Sülldorf went viral. The discovery of this Unfinished Work is another Shift of Paradigms in the research on Rothko‘s biography. The Big Question is of course how and when Rothko made it to Crete and ended up to stay in Kalamaki (of all places). And why? Kalamaki is full of Unfinished Buildings, but these were not even planned yet during Rothko’s lifetime. Art philostophers and historians estimate that it will take them several years to at least discuss all questions that have turned up after the discovery of this ultra rare Work of Art.

Please enjoy the Omega (Ω) with a horizontal stroke on the first slide. I think it fits quite well with the geometric and modest forms of the mechanically engraved letters. The stone on the second slide is different. It seems that all letters were drawn and cut by hand. Maybe not by a true craftsperson, but surely interesting. It is the only gravestone of its kind in this cemetery.

Müllermilch: Jetzt mit AfD-Beigeschmack!
Im vergangenen Jahr ließ Theo Müller (Müllermilch usw.) sich grinsend mit der AfD-Chefin Alice Weidel und seiner Frau fotografieren. Auf Nachfrage sagte er „nicht den geringsten Anhaltspunkt“ für eine NS-Ideologie bei der A*D erkennen zu können. Seitdem haben die Produkte seiner Firma für vielen Menschen ein üblen Nachgeschmack, sie boykottieren die Produkte. Es geht dabei nicht nur um Müllermilch, sondern auch um die anderen Produkte der Firma, beispielsweise Landliebe, Weihenstephan, Homann, Käserei Loose und Sachsenmilch. Wer diese Müller-Produkten kauft, unterstützt einen Milliardär, der Rechtsextreme salonfähig machen will.

Optical Disillusion
Since opticians use letter-like symbols to test our eyesight, you would expect them to recognise whether a letter is mounted correctly or incorrectly. Unfortunately, the shop is located in Kyoto, so it may take a while before I find out. Perhaps the optician broke the N when he dismantled it because he wanted to turn it the right way round?
Or maybe he uses an antique Snellen-Chart with an N that erratically has a serif at bottom left (3rd slide)?
