I’m very happy, honoured, and thankful for this result!! 👉 👉 My Master project “Uppercase: 3.7 % / lowercase: 96.3 % / ascenders or descenders: 37.0 % / diacritics: 0.0% (The visual identity of a language)” has been selected to receive the “Certificate of Typographic Excellence” in the TDC Communication Design and the Young Ones TDC Competitions. It will be included in the Annual of the Type Directors Club, The World’s Best Typography®, and will also be shown at the 68th Awards Exhibition (TDC68) in the Gallery in Cooper Union, New York City. It will be also included in eight (8) exhibitions that will tour dozens of cities in the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, South Korea, Spain and Taiwan. Four books visualise the identity of four languages, expressed in letter frequency; visualised as a black and white pattern. A tool book defines how to set typography in relation to the visual identity of each language. It introduce to an equal and diversified (multilingual) design, expressive of the cultural diversity. (Credits) This typographic design research has been created during the international Master (Graphic Design) in "Reading Type & Typography” (READSEARCH), PXL MAD (Hasselt), 2020/2021.
