Jay’s Listening Bar 005 — loved the experience, end to end. Very few spaces where you can just listen, meet great people and truly enjoy the storytelling. I absolutely loved hearing from Uche Ikonne. So much music history & l discovery.
Thanks for having me and well done! @jaysrecordstash@joshuaahazie@athirdspace___@thedadagallery 🥳🙌🏾
I’m exploring storytelling in different formats from film, podcasting to short form content.
The purpose of this video? To flex my appreciation for incense & Stormzy.

Tayc feels like he’s in a real rebirth era right now. From the loss of his best friend and brother to stepping into this new coming-of-age phase in his career… Super-Héros feels deeply personal.
The song plays like a call to every part of who Tayc is — his mother, his family, his Cameroonian roots, and his upbringing in France. It’s layered, intentional, and honestly, beautifully done.
And then you see it fully come to life through JOŸA: The Birth, the short film directed by Jordan Anefalos — and it just clicks.
Big congratulations to him and his entire team. You can feel the emotional weight behind this project — I can only imagine the rollercoaster it took to bring it to life.
To my native French speakers, give me small grace 😅 I’m coming back to it, a bit rusty, but I trust I captured the essence.
Stream Super-Héros 🥰

There’s a lot of debate about whether founders should build in public.
I’m less interested in the debate and more interested in what works.
For me, sharing the journey keeps me honest.
What do you think — build in public or move quietly?
Side Note:
A big thank you to @tfaafrica@nigerianbreweriesplc for having myself and a cohort of women to meet their execs. I truly enjoyed @yazzavelli ’s exhibit with @1952.africa — headed to @sisianoproductions latest play: My Mother, My Sister — andddd my verdict: 10/10.
I’ve been asking myself a hard question lately: How do I reconcile my reality with my aspirations?
Building a business in Nigeria isn’t glamorous. It’s stretching & humbling. For the past year, I recorded episodes of Current Mind & shared them with an audience of two whole listeners (😅) — mostly as a way to document my journey for myself.
Year 2, I’m in a different frame of mind.
This voiceover is from Episode 6 of Current Mind:
“Building in the Dark: What I’ve Learned Since March ’25.”
Telling the truth about where I am (was), what I learned, and what it actually takes to keep going.
A new year comes with pressure to set new goals.
But maybe there isn’t a new goal for you.
Maybe the work is embracing the frustration and digging in deeper than you ever have before.
