This Sunday, A Third Space is excited to present three original sound projects that move between themes of memory, familial lores and the supernatural. These stories, altogether, consider our collective humanity and the eyes through which we see the world. This sonic experience will take place inside the charming @thisisusng House and will feature sound projects from artists @yagazieemezi @mo_isu_ and Jill Achineku. A conversation made possible by @tryselar will round off the evening. We cannot wait to share these stories with you. Attendance is Free but seating is limited. Link in bio to rsvp

This Saturday at @thedadagallery with @athirdspace___ . Love is the most documented subject in African music. Tender Nigerian men are a little harder to find. Through the 60s to the 90s, Nigerian boy bands, solo acts, and private label artists recorded both the highs of love and the heartbreak that usually comes after. We’ll discover the ones that loved out loud, crashed out, and made some amazing records when it didn’t work out. I’m also excited to announce our first ever talk. Joining us is Uche Ikonne, a good friend and music historian sharing insights from years of researching and documenting these sounds. 25 seats only. Link in bio. #jaysrecordstash #deeplistening #jlb005

What does it mean to gather with intention in Lagos? For the past year, A Third Space has been answering that question by quietly building rooms where literature, music, film, and conversation exist side by side. This May, the gathering continues with COMMON AREA, a café pop-up at @thedadagallery If you believe culture deserves space to breathe in Lagos, come find your way into the room @athirdspace___

At the 2026 @ourhomecoming A Third Space invited artists @papaomotayo and @victoradewale_ to a stirring and timely conversation on the artist’s responsibility in intersection with socio-cultural consciousness. The conversation was deeply insightful, with reminders of what an artist represents in today’s world and what it might look like to apply consciousness to artistic practices. Many many thanks to everyone who joined us. See you at the next one?

What is the role of the artist in difficult times? Join us on the second day of the 9th Homecoming Festival for a special conversation curated by A Third Space for @ourhomecoming on creative consciousness and what it means to be an artist in the middle of socio-cultural uncertainties. This timely conversation, led by curator Papa Omotayo @papaomotayo and visual artist Victor Adewale @victoradewale_ , aims to expand ideas around how art spoke truth to power in the past and what social consciousness might look like today and what it could cost today’s creative class. The goal is to develop a meaningful understanding of our role as artists today, with a particular attention to making sense of how young artists today view their sense of social responsibility within the ambit of their works. The session is set in an open-forum style, making space for commentary, questions and free-flowing exchange of ideas. Entry is FREE. Grab a pass via link in bio. 🎨: @_ade.creates_
