Wishful Thinking won SXSW! I am so proud of this movie. Chaotic, beautiful and so funny. An incredible cast and an unbelievably dedicated, creative and kind crew made it a true delight to work on and it was so much fun to watch with an auditorium full of people. I was so nervous to see it - what if it looked bad! Or didn’t make sense! Or the little changes to the set we made were too subtle and didn’t read! - but I shouldn’t have been. It was excellent. No notes. I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of it. Thanks for having me @grhmparkes @karadurrett @mattjsmith75 Dan & Lewis. Our incredible art department knocked it out of the park. Every. Single. Day. I am nothing without the folks who make the dream come alive. @isom.artdept @yawnconlon @greerpaints @tobinjohncarr @samwhys Bailey Matt Camille Joe Brady Tyler Kenny And all the lovely day players that came and made magic with us. I am forever grateful to this wonderful team. I can’t wait for everyone to see this movie. ❤️

2025 was a doozy. Wouldn’t have made it through without our incredible friends, family and community. Here’s to more joy and less grief in 2026. 1. The Eaton Fire from our driveway, an hour after it started. 2. January 8th from our driveway as the neighborhood continued to burn. All the electricity was out so the light you see is from things on fire. 3. How we collected mail post-fire. A weird communal experience. 4. Boarding up our sweet house to protect it from being looted. I wish I was kidding. 5. Our beautiful living room all boarded up and devoid of life. 6. Our neighbors house burned to the ground but the skeletons in their tree were still there! 7. Junior. (Aka Norman 2.0) a West Altadena legend. 8. Heavy machinery. 9. Poppies springing up in the neighborhood. 10. Rob and the boys in one of our many airbnbs. 11. Despite it all, I did manage to work this year. Designed this moon. Also designed a movie I’m really excited about. Here’s hoping for more steady work next year though. 12. The boys brought us so much joy this year. As always. 13. @sunshine_acid took a tintype photo of us in front of our house as part of her project capturing Altadena after the fire. ❤️ 14. A perfect cactus flower in our Echo Park neighborhood. 15. McNuts took a road trip and moved to Portland! (We went too). 16. Berry picking with the best niece and nephew a girl could hope for, and their incredibly badass mom @lindseyalice 17. Altadena in the Pacific Northwest! A visit from @claireashley and @jennykampmeier lifted my spirits tremendously. 18. We escaped to Mexico with the Jackman family and it was really lovely. And sunny. And warm. 19. Can’t beat Christmas in Portland or living 15 minutes from all these wonderful people. A true silver lining.

Five years ago we picked up these sweet boys from @vbasdogfoster to give them a little break from the shelter during quarantine. I am so grateful we failed at fostering and they became part of our family. The last five years have been rough to say the least and these dogs have brought us so much joy and comfort. There is nothing better than seeing their silly faces when I wake up in the morning. We love you forever Alex and Benson. Happy gotcha day ❤️

Throwing it back to a wildly creative music video I designed for the incredible Janelle Monáe as part of the Emotion Picture released alongside their Dirty Computer album. Directed by Alan Ferguson, our visuals were for “Crazy, Classic, Life” and almost 6 years later (how??) I am still very proud of what we accomplished. Music videos are always a challenge but they’re also some of the most creatively rewarding projects I’ve worked on.

It was a dream to design this M&Ms spot with Maya Rudolph for the 2023 Super Bowl. Directed by the incredible Matt Piedmont. Creating a Willy Wonka-esque garden filled with clams was a clamtastic experience. The third photo is actually a rendering done by our incredible illustrator Alistair Milne. We used this to get approval from the client and as a guide when dressing the garden. I am the luckiest person in the world to get the opportunity to do such things and call it work.

Took myself to @thehuntingtonlibrary for a little inspiration walk. Wandered around and looked at things and tried to just be in awe of nature. It worked. Not a new opinion but: Plants are incredible.
