We agree with @nlbmprez It is not a matter of if, but when the Nashville Stars come to fruition as a Major League Baseball expansion team in Music City. Bob Kendrick joined @jaredcarrabis on @baseballisdead to talk Nashville, expansion, and the history behind the Stars name.

OTD in 1931, Willie Mays was born in Westfield, AL. Regarded by many as greatest player in @MLB history, his pro baseball career began as a 17-year-old centerfielder for the Birmingham Black Barons in 1948! This cherished photo is from April 2016 at Oracle Park!
