For as long as she’s been in the public eye,
@billieeilish has faced countless discussions about her fashion choices—and her body.
“I’m not the first person who’s worn baggy clothes,” she says of her wardrobe, citing inspirations like Harlem fashion influencer Bloody Osiris (
@bloodyosiris ) and hip-hop icons Tyler, the Creator (
@feliciathegoat ) and Missy Elliott (
@missymisdemeanorelliott ). She notes the freedom of movement afforded by these clothes, and the resulting gender euphoria. “I had a really, really toxic relationship with my body,” Eilish tells ELLE. ”I didn’t want to be seen as feminine, and therefore weak. It’s not right. I’ve found a good way of not feeling like that.”
In ELLE’s May 2026 cover story, Eilish contemplates her newfound relationship with touring, her brother, her body, and more. Read the full interview at the link in bio.
