Through this project, we want to challenge taboos and break stereotypes, proving that you can be whoever you want to be. By blending sports, identity, and fashion, we showcase the freedom of self-expression to inspire and spark conversation in sports circles and beyond.
I also have a background in team sports – albeit in football – it was crucial to curate looks that defy conventions as much as possible within a sport traditionally perceived as highly masculine. Ice hockey players’ gear is always very covering and bulky, so I wanted to explore that aspect more deeply. Siim was the perfect player for these images, thanks to his experimental attitude.
