My 17.5 shoot day yesterday kinda set me off schedule, but I’m still riding this high and feeling the love for @turnawaymovie Special Screening at the @egyptianla with @latinofilminstitute_ @laliff_ Don’t worry the feature is coming and festival journey is in the works! When I was younger I was bullied terribly for being gay and have even had a gun pulled on me for being Mexican — I was terrified to exist in this world. Now, I am here fiercely making gay Latino genre films and sharing them with audiences in the heart of Hollywood. I am so incredibly proud to have showcased our film @turnawaymovie at the sold special screening at the Egyptian Theater. The incredible cast & crew, @latinofilminstitute_ , @laliff_ and @netflix made this whole journey a magical experience and I’m forever grateful. Thank you especially to my producer @mohneekuh and co-producer @chrisgraygoodman and dp @andresgallegos_dp who gave me the thumbs up to all my crazy ideas and turns out are just as crazy as me. I make movies to challenge and surprise both myself and audiences, and this movie that so many poured their hearts into was able to achieve that. I can’t wait to continue this journey.
