How it the first Fryday! Of the New Year already?
@tvsandyclarke and I went to Glasgow to find some of the best chippies in Scotland. I studied at Glasgow School Of Art so it was so great to be back after all these years and the fish and chips are even better than I remember. We dined at @catchglasgow and couldn’t get enough of their delicious cuisine.
Even though fish & chips is one of the nation’s favourite meals, we face a real problem: Rising costs for both consumers and chippies means that half of the chippies are at risk of closing in the next 24 months.
Together as a nation, we could support every chippy in the country, by visiting them just twice more each year.
To encourage consumers to support their local chippy, @Sarsonsuk will reimburse 50 meals every week this year. With just your receipt and a picture of your meal accompanied by some Sarson’s vinegar, you can get their chippy meal for free.

Where do I start… oh my gosh I cannot believe I did it again. I went through highs and lows but always kept in my head the reason I did it. The memory of my mother lives in me daily and the pain I felt when I found out she had had a stroke has never left me. What it did do was ignite a fire in me to never stop speaking about the devastating effects of stroke and brain injury and never stopping raising money and awareness for research and practical support. The kindness of everyone who has supported me this year means so much to me. To see the total rise above my target again and again has brought tears to my eyes on numerous occasions. Thank You all it means the world to me and @thestrokeassociation Shoutout too to my glorious husband @mrdrewnaylor for your support and to @alexandraburke for bugging me to do it again and @emrhyscooper for going the stroke marathon crew. The @templeton.garden and @dotdeedot for your kindness and preparing me for the big day and to all the people shouting my name!
