Today we close Jesus Christ Superstar here at Riverside Theatre. It is not lost on me what a profound privilege it is to tell this story at a time when it feels as though humanity is slowly losing sight of the simple, essential act of loving one another. And yet, what gives me hope is this: a group of complete strangers came together just seven weeks ago, chose to see and respect one another, and now, at the end of this journey, have found something deeper—something that looks a lot like love.
To be invited into experiences like this is not something I take lightly. It is a rare and beautiful gift, and I am endlessly grateful to be a part of it. Love to this Company, Crew and The Riverside Family. Especially DJ Salisbury whom I would not be here if he hadn’t trusted me with this small but iconic role. @riversidetheatrefl
