THANK YOU to all the over 125 volunteers we had join us for our 2nd Annual Earth Day of Action 🌎 we cleaned up our streets, removed graffiti, and participated in garden maintenance, which included composting, planting, and mulching! Building on the success of last year’s Earth Day initiative, this event reaffirms our commitment to environmental stewardship, urban green farming, and grassroots civic engagement across our community!

Let’s run it back, District 30—our Earth Day of Action is just around the corner! 🌎🌱 Last year, you showed up—over 100 volunteers strong—to green our streets and uplift our neighborhoods. Ahead of next month’s tax lien sale, we partnered with @nhsofqueens to help homeowners with property tax issues, water liens, and more. Thank you to the NHS team for providing our constituents with your counseling and educational services!

Yesterday, #TeamCatalina attended the @togetherwecanrc Immigration Summit to provide valuable information to our community on the current immigration situation. We were joined by education and immigration lawyers, paralegals, a doctor, and ACS/DOMH representatives. Our team distributed KYR wallet cards and shared essential resources available through our office. Ayer, nuestro equipo asistió a al Seminario de Inmigración de Together We Can para brindar información valiosa a nuestra comunidad sobre la situación migratoria actual. Contamos con la participación de abogados de educación e inmigración, asistentes legales, un doctor y representantes de ACS/DOMH. Nuestro equipo distribuyó tarjetas KYR y compartió recursos esenciales disponibles bben nuestra oficina.

Yesterday, I met with Neighborhood Housing Services of Queens of the Neighborhood Preservation Coalition of New York State. In Assembly District 35, 64% of renters and 36% of homeowners are cost burdened (spending over 30% of their income on housing). As your New Assembly member, I am committed to advocating for increased investments in housing affordability to ensure that our community and neighbors can thrive.
