Accessibility is about dignity. It’s about whether a parent with a stroller, a senior heading to a doctor’s appointment, or a neighbor using a wheelchair can move freely through our community.
Right now, too many stations along the 7 line (82nd, 90th, 103rd, and 111th) are still out of reach. That’s not just an inconvenience. It’s inequality.
Our plan is simple and bold: build the elevators our communities deserve. Prioritize 82nd Street near Elmhurst Hospital. Deliver real access. No more delays, no more excuses. Because accessibility isn’t a luxury. It is a right. And together, we’re going to make our transit system work for everyone.
It was an honor to appear on @ny1 to speak about why I’m running for State Senate and why the people of Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, and Jackson Heights deserve better.
We deserve bold, values-driven leadership that listens, collaborates, and delivers.
No family in Queens should have to choose between paying rent and putting food on the table. Feeding our families isn’t charity; it’s a moral obligation and a smart public investment. As your next State Senator, I will fight to ensure every New Yorker can access healthy, affordable food no matter who they are or where they come from.
____
I’m still overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support in celebration of my 50th birthday this week. 🎉
So much gratitude to my incredible team, host committee, Queens Borough President @drichardsqueens , Assembly Member @catalinacruzny , Councilmember @thebronxsanchez , @brianr4ny , @edvalentin7 of Viva La Heights and Friends Tavern, and @frankdiaz04 and @pat_duo from Addictive Wine.
Most importantly, I am deeply grateful for the immense love and support from my neighbors and friends. I can’t wait to represent you in the New York State Senate!

This campaign is about building a future that works for working people and I’m honored to have the support of Bernie Sanders @berniesanders .
Together, we’re fighting for affordable housing, universal childcare, stronger public transit, immigrant protections, and a New York where every family can thrive, not just the wealthy and well-connected. This movement is powered by neighbors, workers, tenants, immigrants, and young people who believe our communities deserve bold leadership and real results. Let’s organize together and win this race for Queens. ✊🏽
I was proud to host the basketball team from the Lexington School for the Deaf at the Capitol and sponsor the 29th Annual Basketball Classic with the Assembly and Senate All-Stars! We were honored to have former Assembly Member Jeffrion Aubry join as a special guest coach — and even more excited to celebrate an incredible student victory! 🏀💙
For more than 160 years, @lexdeafnyc has empowered deaf and hard-of-hearing students through accessible, high-quality education and community support. As the largest school for the deaf in New York State, Lexington remains a pillar of our Queens community.
This event is about more than basketball — it’s about inclusion, visibility, leadership, and celebrating deaf excellence. Congratulations to the students, coaches, administrators, and my colleagues in the Assembly and Senate who made yesterday so special!
We must continue investing in accessible education, language access, and disability justice for all New Yorkers.
Childcare is infrastructure. It’s economic justice. And it’s how we build a city where families can truly succeed. This week, we rallied for Universal Childcare because working families in Jackson Heights, Corona, Elmhurst, East Elmhurst, and LeFrak City are being pushed to the brink by impossible costs and long waitlists.
I’m proud to stand with parents, educators, workers, and advocates fighting for a future where every child gets the strong start they deserve.
🚨 Endorsement Alert 🚨
I am thrilled to earn the support of @dc37nyc , the largest municipal union in New York City!
“DC 37 is proud to endorse Jessica González-Rojas for State Senate,” said Henry Garrido, Executive Director of District Council 37 AFSCME. “JGR has been a true partner to labor by fighting for fair wages, safe workplaces, and the dignity every worker deserves. She understands that when we invest in public services and the people who deliver them, we build stronger, healthier communities. In the Senate, JGR will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with working families and deliver real results for New Yorkers.”
