🚚Delivery time for Pavilion in the Green!🌿
Pretty Plastic is pretty excited to share that we have now started delivering the green roof and façade tiles for the Voorhof Children’s Centre in Lelystad!
After announcing the project in January 2024, it’s great to see it moving into the realisation phase. Designed by Dutch
@nextarchitects and Danish
@cco_architects , the pavilion will soon be clad with our First One tiles in three green tones, plus ochre and terracotta, blending beautifully with its natural surroundings.
The pavilion will stand nestled in greenery, accessible from all sides. Bringing together two primary schools, a childcare centre and a gymnasium under one roof, it will form a unified and welcoming whole.
As the architects explained:
“The building is homely inside and out. Inside, the sloping ceiling provides cosiness. Outside, the shape establishes a relationship with the surrounding greenery. Resembling a leafy canopy, the green façade blends with the green surroundings. The use of Pretty Plastic for the façade, made from recycled plastic, also brings a circular aspect to the design.
The energy-neutral, robust pavilion is multifunctional in every aspect: spaces flow into each other and are hybrid in use, but can also be closed off when desired.”
🌱By opting for Pretty Plastic, they will save 43,554 kilos of post-consumer PVC from landfill or incineration; a significant step towards our shared mission for a cleaner planet 🌍
