Celebrating a decade of @bluemoonmagazine with issue 10! And it’s a good one.
We especially loved the interview with legend @yasiinbey and painter @anuarkhalifi about art, spirituality and the often funny edges of being alive.
Worth a slow read.

Directly from our Gracia location, Abu-Bakkar Bacaicoa, better known as Buk’z, is starring S06E04 of The Regulars.
Buk’z spent his early years in Freetown, Sierra Leone, where he first connected with music by building instruments with his friends. His path of life took him to London, where he gained 11 years of experience behind the counter at Honest Jon’s before ending up in Barcelona. He has an incredible depth of musical knowledge, fueled by his endless curiosity.
How do you take your coffee?
I like my Flat White chiefly with regular milk, it has to be creamy!
Last thing you’ve read?
I recently read Las Muertas by Jorge Ibargüengoitia. Growing up with a mother who introduced me to literature, and having studied English literature myself, books have always been a big part of my life. I chose this one because it’s now a six-part Netflix series and since I really enjoy how Mexican films are made, I wanted to read it before watching the show.
Favourite track?
Zionsville II by Khruangbin. I really loved the first version, and hearing version II was a whole new experience. The song has a strong ’90s hip-hop instrumental vibe but also a very relaxing atmosphere.
Favourite spot in the city?
Pedralbes Monastery. I love it for its history and culture, and because it’s a quiet, lesser-known place in a busy touristy city. Visiting the monastery feels peaceful and calming.
What makes you happy?
The simple act of enjoying the little things in life.
Going to concerts and seeing artists I love play music is something I really value and enjoy.
