Meet Antony Fitzgerald — 61-year-old model and founder of New Silver Generation (@new.silver.generation ). In 2021, while guest-editing Soho Times, Antony launched NSG to spotlight mature multicultural models — a group still sorely underrepresented in campaigns, editorials, and character-led commercial roles. “The industry still favours narrow stereotypes,” he says. “The go-to stereotypical look for a Black mature model is African American. Mature Asian models are almost invisible. And it’s still rare to see people of colour over 50 playing the hero.” NSG is changing that — offering a fresh, global resource for casting mature talent with life, presence, and range. “Beauty isn’t defined by youth. It’s defined by subjectivity, experience, and a zest for life. Don’t tell us we look good ‘for our age.’ Tell us we’re beautiful because we’re living fully.” Since its launch, NSG models have signed internationally and launched new careers. Antony himself has appeared in publications such as Vogue Italia, The Guardian and GQ China. NSG models have featured on the Daily Mail online and Soho Times, and their models are going from strength to strength in their careers. Next step?
