Making Mother’s Day cards with my niece. And thinking about the present with the future… There is something I can’t get my head around, right now I see really disturbing things happening in humanity and it just creates such an anxiety about society and people. All I can think of in response to this is look at the natural animal kingdom, you get all sorts of animals. All different shapes, sizes and colours appearances… you also get some lesser known ones like the male seahorses who carry the young, frogs that can change sex and animals who have gay relationships. The natural world naturally embraces them all because they’re just simply a part of the world and they all play their part in this delicate system. And many many more wonderfully diverse natural things happening that we can’t fathom or even know about. It’s already reflected in the flora and fauna that the world we live in is not a binary, rigid and predictable place. So why would it be hard to fathom that we are all very much a part of that varied world as human beings? The direction of things is becoming increasingly backward and I feel like we are the only species that can complicate and find it hard to just accept the reality of diversity in nature. Why do some humans want to make everything so rigid. It isn’t the truth. The truth just is… Do we see animals rejecting others who have nothing to do with their day to day living? Why can’t humans just live and let live too? It’s just so sad right now 💚💚💚
