This feels like a very special post to share.
Today, I want to show you the first images from my new project, Heritage.
This series opens with my wonderful model Linda
@lindamalcolm2021 who so generously invited me into pieces of her world; the places, memories, emotions, and fragments of life that shaped her into the woman she is today. Photographing her felt less like documenting and more like listening; tracing invisible threads between past and present, between memory and identity.
What you see here is only a glimpse.
Heritage will grow into a series of portraits accompanied by the personal stories of each woman involved; intimate reflections on what we carry within us, consciously or unconsciously, throughout our lives.
The project was born from one simple thought: heritage is not always the entirety of who we are, nor does it need to define us completely, yet it often becomes an inseparable part of our identity. It lives quietly inside us: in memories, inherited objects, familiar places, family stories, people we once loved, gestures we repeat without realising. Some parts are visible, others almost impossible to name, but they remain with us. Painful, uplifting, complex, difficult to see...
Each portrait in this project is created through conversation and collaboration. Together, we explore what “heritage” means to the individual woman: what has stayed with her, what shaped her, what she continues to carry. I want these images to feel honest, raw, and deeply personal — not simply portraits of appearance, but portraits of something internal and enduring.
And now I would love to ask you something:
Should Heritage have its own separate account, or would you prefer to see fragments of this project continue to live here alongside my other work?
I would genuinely love to hear your thoughts 🤍
