growing up in restaurants, I always had an interest in what back of house was doing and I picked up some things along the way. taking classes with @kingarthurflour and @theculinaryinstituteofamerica has made me even more confident in the kitchen. and if my café is going to serve homemade bread, I better know how to bake it

I remember being really intimidated going to my first industry-only wine event back in 2019… at this point, I’ve gotten comfortable navigating a walk around tasting.
I signed up for a bunch of events in these coming months where I’ll be exploring different wine regions. I’m grateful for the opportunity to talk with the visiting winemakers and deepen my knowledge of their craft and it’s exciting I can share it with you!

in 2018 I had a job offer in boston that gave me three weeks to move and start. that ultimately led me to deciding that the hudson valley was and always will be, my home. it’s that accessibility to new york city without having to compromise on fresh air and beautiful landscapes. not to mention the agriculture lending to an awesome food & bev scene.
as I explore the hudson valley more and share with you, I think it’s important to highlight places like @paulbradywine ! with a farm license they are able to have a retail shop and a bar all with local products. it’s super cool and absolutely worth a visit. thanks paul & todd @wildarcfarm !

did you know I’m on tiktok? 🫣 almost six months ago I started posting at least 5x a day focusing on wine education, hospitality tips & tricks, hudson valley things, and life in general. it helped me survive the long commutes on the train and I’ve found a lot of enjoyment in sharing my journey. while my content is by no means perfect, it’s real and sometimes vulnerable. definitely a bit cringe too, but hey we all start somewhere (please don’t judge my pronunciations)
