Ari and Gabe, married at the Ebell of Los Angeles. They, with the help of their parents (shout out to Jean!) celebrated their long awaited wedding day in pink under the stars.
From the pink florals on Ari’s beautiful gown and all pink chuppah, all the way down to the custom diamond dance floor, pink moments were woven through the day along with other subtle nods to the Ebell architecture, included in the invitation design.
One of my favorite moments was their wedding cake, recreated to look exactly like Ari’s great grandmothers wedding day cake, down to the little bows and that Ari wore her own mother’s wedding gown (shortened) for the entire reception. Going along with the saying of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, the last piece of that puzzle was given to Ari by her mother in law in the form of a cotton tissue for years, embroidered in blue thread with Gabe’s handwriting at four years old saying “I Love You.” She said those three words were first said to her, and now belong to Ari, which is just about the sweetest thing I have ever heard.
Cheers to the newlyweds!

I am Vanessa Todd, a photographer in Los Angeles. SoCal is home, scatter my ashes on Colorado Blvd.
The most defining moment of my life happened January 7, 2025 when my home and all my possessions burnt down in the Eaton Fire. I had lost every part of my business and gear in the fire. It was an interesting thing to hold those burnt cameras and feel like I was holding my own arms, detached from my body.
My husband has always been and continues to be the light, the sun, the optimism that seeps into every corner of life. He truly is my partner in everything. I once heard someone say in their vow renewal that “marriage is hard,” and I remember vividly thinking “no, life is hard, but being married to the right person makes it better.” Mark makes life better.
Mark’s job allows us to travel often. He works around the world on different stages and cruise ships. The best trip we ever took was to Antarctica. It is my favorite place in the world and a photographer’s paradise.
When I have true free time, I’m painting. I’m working on a series called 182 Beds (the number goes up the more time passes). I’m romanticizing the places we have gone since our home burnt down through postcard watercolors, counting how many beds we sleep in until we go back home to ours in our rebuilt home.
My degree is in Art History & Studio art, but before I graduated I attended 9 universities all pursuing different art & literature specialties. To this day I LOVE to sew and read. I’d love to hem your pants for you while we discuss VE Schwab’s latest book (because I personally loved it).
We are putting our life back together, one day and piece of furniture at a time. As we do, it becomes abundantly clear what matters in our life and where we find joy. For me, I’m still here, choosing this job and this profession. I love this work and I love the hospitality of this special career.
The Spring Floral Workshop, hosted by Ashley from @espritfloralco was a beautiful success! Attendees spent the day at @cielohillsflowers learning arrangement and bouquet tips while also getting to meet other florists in their area. To end the day, their arrangements were styled on a gorgeous tablescape created by @thenoblelane
Spring is here and in full bloom, and this was such a perfect way to start the season.

Engagement photo season is here! And no two shoots are ever the same. Even in the same location, energy, clothing, and lighting can give you different results. There are so many different places and ways you can interpret your options for where to go and what vibes you want to bring.
Some of my best advice is to ask yourself:
- What are my goals with these photos? Is it to practice formal photos and get some nerves out? Do I want to commemorate where we are in life right now? Is there a place I’ve always wanted to go to and this can make it a special occasion? Do I need formal photos for guestbooks and save the dates?
- How will those goals impact my location choice (or even will they)?
- What clothing colors or materials should I wear to convey the “theme” I am trying to achieve? Romantic might lean more flowy with apparel, modern might prefer something more sleek.
Last spring at The Parker in Palm Springs ☀️
A day filled with an abundance of photos on the Holga, sunshine, and an outpouring of love and COLOR (gimme all the color). My favorite moment was when E + C walked back up the aisle with their dog which was too precious for words!
What a fun day to capture alongside @erinmartonphoto as her second
Engagement photos at my favorite spot in Malibu along the coast for Hailey and Zac.
My soul is now out of hibernation now that daylight savings has happened and the sun is awake and out to play for more of the day, and with that I’ll be back here more often!

Never has Cielo Farms ever looked quite so magical as it did on W + J’s wedding day, which was really only half the magic of the day because their love was one of those truly special things to witness that left you happy crying on and off.
Second shot this day for @mayiosotaluno and am forever changed by it. Please go to her page to see more of the beauty from this truly, truly special day.
Mommy and Me, with a heavy dose of color (aka my absolute fave). Lena, you are sunshine and so is you cutie son ☀️
After over a year, studio sessions are back and more colorful than ever 🌈
