definitely NOT the full moon effect any of us were hoping for on Sat, but we pushed through and still made it happen. respect to everyone that made it out, and a very special thank you to @ghostcodepresents for trusting me with opening up the night, was a true pleasure for me to get to watch @johnkong @__jeepmix__ & @nick_holder_ do their thing. just a shame not to hear all that incredible music on @rhythm__space sound system.. but guess this just gives us an excuse to run it back ya?

first BTG experience of mine outside of Toronto.. i’m not great with words so all i can think to say right now is thank you to anyone that looked out for me, @leoleolee @snickerm @dkelz32 @aemerie and most of all @jamestownville for extending the invite and spending the time. and to everyone else i met along the way, i learned so much from you all, your hospitality will never be forgotten.

if i’m being honest, at the start of the year i wasn’t sure if i see myself in this city anymore, but it was moments like these and many others where the community of people i’m lucky enough to call friends changed my mind and made me believe that despite the challenges, there is somthin special about Toronto that’s worth fighting for. beyond grateful to everyone who i got to spend time with, pulled me out on some miles, supported my vision and blessed the decks, to say this year has been transformational would be an understatement. now onto the next chapter. ps. when you see these camera’s floating around our events, plz know they’re intended as an invitation for anyone to pickup and shoot

it’s hard to overstate the importance of all this, but if i tried to explain i doubt it’d make sense.

i feel the first thing that comes to most people’s minds when they read “diversity” is race or religion, and sure that’s part of it, but when i first saw this concept presented by @duracell_deus it signalled something a lot more then that. diversity of thought, of perspective, of traditions, of lived experiences.. to earn a degree at this school requires an open mind and the curiosity to >learn from people< who are >not like you<. something about that idea resonated deeply with me and is the reason i felt this shirt had to come to life in a colour-way and graphic treatment that reflected Toronto, a city that i know is among the most diverse in the world. in fact we are defined by our diversity, if you ask anyone visiting it’s what makes this city what it is. growing up here and being immersed in that on a daily basis is a privilege that i do not take for granted. maybe i’m biased but i truly believe it instills a type of intelligence in you that could never be learned from a book or coded into a computer. printed in house [literally] on premium UNIQLO Airism Cotton/Poly for the balance of performance and comfort, these shirts are designed intentionally for transitioning from casual wear to workouts. only 2xM and 2xL in stock, but i’m open to taking orders for more sizing if there’s enough interest. and of course artwork courtesy of the professor, @duracell_deus so that’s the story.

sometime this summer i sat down with @dylanonroad to get his feedback on this runner’s shop & sound bar idea that i felt needed to be brought to life. i didn’t know how it would happen, but his immediate encouragement reinforced my feeling that it had to be done. i decided to run it as a pop-up out of my apartment, Friday nights to start, once a week for as long as it felt right. fast forward 3 months, so many special moments and unexpected connections to look back on. there were also a lot of important lessons learned which i intend on carrying forward into the next phase of this project. with that said, there will be some announcements coming soon, but until then it’s time to bring Friday nights to a close. thank you to everyone who came out to for some miles, brought a record or shared a drink, with special thanks to the gang @barttuszkiewicz @dylanonroad & @greg.alton_ for the steady support and always keeping the vibes high. 🙏🏼🍻

Join us this Friday for a special event as we introduce Korea running brand: Nubeez Established in 2023 by a group of runners who have been friends for over 30 years, the brand is named after ‘Nubi Trail’, a 62km course in their hometown of Seongnam City. Their fresh, light hearted approach to running combined with technical, performance driven product design made me an instant fan upon discovering them earlier this year. A very limited number of their Super “DRY” Asahi inspired muscle tees will be available for purchase following our usual 7PM run. Hope to see you there!
