PERSISTENCE MAKES PROGRESS POSSIBLE ⚙️ Pushed through another long run in mid Dec 25’ after the CAME BACK FROM RETIREMET 📟, and that experience offered body and mind strength I didn’t realize I had. Despite the morning at Lake Kawaguchiko was wintry and drenched, felt stressless and more relaxed overall. Never did I think I would break my record at such a touristy journey include a steep incline right after halfway - but I did 🗻 Progress doesn’t come in a blink, it comes with persistence. Just keep showing up, even when conditions aren’t ideal, you may surprise yourself with what you are capable of. 📸 1. Catching sunrise the day after long run 2. Welcome sketch 3. Local kids precaution sign 4. Hoto noodles local dishes the night before long run 5. Snows before bed 6. Fuel in the morning before encountered cold & wet run 7. Second born sent off each other 8. 1️⃣5️⃣ years of running and the city is still your playground. 💛 Fifteen years ago, a small group of friends gathered by the harbor to run. No plans, no sponsors, no hashtags, just a desire to move, breathe, and view Hong Kong from a different perspective. The city's energy set their rhythm, and the skyline became their finish line. That night, Harbour Runners was born. Since then, Wednesday nights have become something special. The sound of footsteps echoing through Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, and Causeway Bay is like a heartbeat running through the city. Over time, what started as just a few friends grew into a family. The crew created something that outlasted trends and seasons. They built a community. They built a connection. They built a culture where everyone feels they belong. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the Harbour Runners vibe in person — twice. Both times, I was reminded of what true community looks like. No ego, no hierarchy, just open arms, laughter, and a deep love for the streets. Their hospitality is unmatched. Their energy is contagious. To the founders, captains, and everyone who’s ever shown up for a Wednesday night run, this one’s for you. Here’s to the next 15 years of moving together through the city that never sleeps. This November, Harbour Runners returns to its roots. A whole weekend to celebrate #HR15, a living tribute to 15 years of running, friendship, and discovery. 📍 Saturday, 15 Nov 2025 9:00 AM — The Legacy Run (15 KM) follows the original route from 2010. 12:00 PM — The Legacy Exhibition opens at Garage@HEATH , bringing back rare photos, early designs, and stories from every era. 8:30 PM — The Legacy Party lights up Stay Bar Hong Kong, reuniting runners past and present in one massive celebration. 📍 Sunday, 16 Nov 2025 The exhibition continues — a quiet moment to walk through memories and imagine what’s next. Comment with "HR" to read the whole story.

CAME BACK FROM RETIREMENT 📟 Had my debut in Tokyo 2019, clocked 2 more in Shanghai and Osaka same year both caught up pretty bad quads cramping issue. Was pondering about the path. Then the world shutdown so as I went for retirement scheme 🛋️ Until early this year, got the duty call by chance and decided back to the road again. It wasn’t an easy come back. Over the years, physically and mentally have been through something. Body has changed; mindset has adjusted. Even though 16 weeks training sounds familiar - combination with hills/ easy/ tempo/ endurance/ long workouts. Body and mind still required time to adapt and picked up week by week. Couldn’t make it to the start line without weekly squad support. Courtesy to fellows showed up for long run on Saturday early morning despite miserable weather 🥵🌊 (you know who you are 🤓) and @harbourrunners 💛 @buffco.hk 🐃 Marathon weekend was bussin’ got some reunion hugs with the OGs and dap with new ones. More connections made 🛂 It was also a meaningful weekend as LEE’s fam was travelling together and cheering for the very first time. Had a blast down under. Sydney you slayed it! Cheers!
