When creating a custom street number sign like this, our goal is to make something that fits the building (and the neighborhood), and also brings the client's vision to life while striving for a timeless appeal.
For this sign, we designed the figure ‘4’ and the letters from scratch, and hand painted and gilded with 23kt gold leaf.

Process of repainting the Central Square Sign. It wasn’t easy condensing 2.5 weeks of work down into a little video but hopefully it gets the point across! A lot of effort went into bringing this 30ft, double sided sign back to life (and a lot of paint fumes were inhaled 😵💫) but the results are better than we hoped. So psyched to see it back up. Huge thanks to @centralsqbid and @streettheorycollective for letting us take over their space to get this done.
As celebrating the recently restored central square sign, we are releasing a couple of mug cups.
We teamed up with @the_eastcoast_store to create these central square mugs.

Caught a good day to take some photos of the newly re-painted Central Square sign, which was originally designed by @kngee and painted by Kenji and Dylan in 2018.
We couldn’t be happier how it came out, and it is looking even better than the last time….in some cases, sequel isn’t bad at all!👍
We have decent amount of photos and videos from the process, so we will share those later.
