Last Friday night I attended the Signed! Central event hosted by @centralsqbid and @streettheorycollective to celebrate the remounting of the iconic Central Square sign in the heart of the Square. Artist @kngee refurbished the multi-colored sign, restoring a beloved landmark to #cambridgema
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this vibrant piece of Central Square’s identity back to the community
Huge thank you to @kngee for bringing new life to the Central Square sign. Watching this beloved landmark get refreshed was a beautiful reminder of how art can honor the past while pushing the Square forward. Your work continues to add character and pride to a place so many of us call home. 🎨✨
Grateful as well to @vialecambridge for being such an incredible host for the evening. The space, the energy, and the hospitality kept the room buzzing all night and made the celebration feel even more special. 🍸🌙
And of course, major appreciation to Spin the Bottle (@letsspinthebottle ) for setting the tone with an all-vinyl soundtrack that kept the vibes flowing from start to finish. Nothing like good music, good people, and a community coming together to celebrate the Square. 🖤

Process of repainting the Central Square Sign. It wasn’t easy condensing 2.5 weeks of work down into a little video but hopefully it gets the point across! A lot of effort went into bringing this 30ft, double sided sign back to life (and a lot of paint fumes were inhaled 😵💫) but the results are better than we hoped. So psyched to see it back up. Huge thanks to @centralsqbid and @streettheorycollective for letting us take over their space to get this done.
As celebrating the recently restored central square sign, we are releasing a couple of mug cups.
We teamed up with @the_eastcoast_store to create these central square mugs.
They’ll be available at the party @streettheorycollective this Friday but we’ll have only limited amount, just 15 of each for now.
