@projectivity lead artist @jodidareal returned to @ps44thomascbrown in Staten Island for the 4th year to beautify the back courtyard with a group of students. This year, we spoke to Principal Storms and other staff about the success of the program. Three-day shoot. Freezing cold. Spilled coffee. Broken glass. The kind of chaos that builds something beautiful. From the final event of our @projectivity SpinningYour Sound DJ program this year. Our students learned how to DJ from @djxcel over 4 months in Spring 2023 at @hub17nyc they learned @serato and used @pioneerdjusa controllers to spin a 5-10 minute set of their own sound selections. They took field trips to @makerparkradio School For Audio Engineering and got to showcase their work at Carnegie Hall. The final event also featured a showcase from DMC Champion @djperly This program was sponsored by Carnegie Halls NeON Arts program in collaboration with NYC Dept of Probation.
