FLAMINGO 🦩// bts! I’m still swooning after spending the day designing, laughing, considering, trialing, and loving with the most creative team. It’s sometimes impossible to find your creative flow and truly be inspired when the world is hard and unjust and so many are suffering. A bleak moment rarely sparks the energy I need to create something. So I’m so so grateful to this team of artists, @kristina.solinger @marcelacloudmakeup_ @jessicalyndean @countyrailfarm for coming together last minute, holding space for creative processing, prepping and shooting for over 8 hours, laughing with each other, finding joy in all the moments! The colors, the orchids, and the artistic talent in the room filled my cup to the max. Designing these concept shoots isn’t just about placing flowers and creating content. It’s so much more to me, it’s connecting with the people that bring a vision to life, and learning how I can weave floral magic into the art they create as well. Each person has to bring the same level of commitment, contribution, flexibility, awareness… to truly create something inspirational. So much magic that I can’t wait to share, but for now here are some sneak peeks of behind the scenes! Also big thanks to @tresbonnemissoula for allowing us to take over their gorgeous space and slipping us little snacks. And to @clairdelune.sf for entrusting me with this dress for so long 💗💅🏻 DESIGN + FLORAL || @nectartap @fieldfiveflowers MODEL || @kristina.solinger MUA || @marcelacloudmakeup_ PHOTOGRAPHER || @jessicalyndean VENUE || @tresbonnemissoula DRESS || @clairdelune.sf

‘Little Boxes’ Design Concept: A fusion of the affluent NYC-Madison Avenue vibe from the 1950s, with a sharp social commentary on suburbia, topped off with vibrant chaos of Studio 54. And a psychedelic wash of traditional gender roles. 🏡Delicate Broken Egg Towers: Representing capitalism, the economy, corruption, emptiness, and fractured systems. 🏡 A Wedding-White Tablescape: Draped in baking flour, alluding to traditional “wife” roles centered around baking 🏡Micro-green Squares: Symbolizing suburbia’s uniform homes and pristine lawns. 🏡Gold-rimmed plateware, silver, a classic cocktail and a cherry on top for the opulence of success and wealth This editorial from last February leans far into Creative Direction and Styling rather than Floral Design. I never imagined myself designing a tablescape like this. Yet, Field Five is evolving and I’m excited to embrace this creative growth! What began five years ago as a small side project focused on cultivating flowers in Field Number 5 at County Rail Farm has transformed, and continues to. After my first season of growing cut flowers (alongside an abundance of weeds), I discovered a true passion for cultivating plants. That passion naturally led me to floral design, which predictably led to a focus on the wedding industry. From there, my fascination with intricate details and cohesive visuals drove me toward design and styling beyond flowers. Designing editorial shoots has been essential for deepening my understanding of lighting, angles, and collaboration with vendors and artists. These artistic endeavors have helped me navigate the industry’s challenges, granting me the creative freedom to explore. Many of you have been with me since the beginning, seeing glimpses of our farm life, Imogen, puppies, and flowers. I hope you continue to follow as we share not only farm and florals but unique aspects of design, exploring concepts that uncover deeper meanings 💫 Venue: @thehistoricflorence MUA: @rachel.rockwood.mua Rental: @habitatrentalcollective Model @karmonado Dress @aportashop Microgreens @countyrailfarm Eats @modestamontana PC @jessinmissoula Rings @carlabissinger

New Edit of Part II: QUEENS. The second segment of this design embraced a more bridal aesthetic, showcasing the custom sheer backdrop we created. I’ve noticed a lot of ethereal fabric backdrops lately and I adore the layering, texture, drama, and romance they add. Here are some of my favorite shots of our fabric installation, beautifully captured by @jessicalyndean … I’m a big fan of the high flash effect. Here’s to more of this in 2025! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thanks for following along with Queen Charlotte! I’m excited to share more designs from last season and new projects on the horizon 🤍 HMU @rachel.rockwood.mua Queen @skylaramh Dress @clairdelune.sf Studio @pole_fiction_missoula Fabric/Floral installation @fieldfiveflowers Cupcakes @bakesalebakeshop Creative Direction + Design @nectartap Creative team @cheezilla1010 @hanes_worth @countyrailfarm @nightpiebaking @harmony.joyy Photographer @jessicalyndean

QUEENS BTS and the making of this incredible headpiece! Sound on for the process:). Peek @johnnys_seeds ball cap as the base! And HUGE props to @skylaramh for carrying this heavy and cumbersome headpiece for over 8 hours of design and filming. The real MVP. And @rachel.rockwood.mua for literally always being down to tackle my crazy ideas. This was a 4 hour hair and makeup. 😳🤓 Thousands of blooms went into the creating of this editorial, many from the farm, so many gorgeous Lisianthus that we grew from @farmerbaileyplugs and armloads of hydrangea donated by @florabellamissoula . QUEENS Part II. This design was a feast of its own: over-Indulgent in almost every single way. It was inspired by Netflix’s Bridgerton, specifically season 3 Queen Charlotte-Golda Rosheuvel, and her friendship with the notorious “Let them eat cake” -Marie Antoinette. Marie Antoinette was known for her lavish lifestyle and out of this world hair designs (as seen reflected in Bridgerton). I’ve always wanted to work with floral couture so this seemed liked the perfect opportunity I also wanted to create something large scale with hydrangeas as they can be finicky to design with; a challenge that of course I needed to explore more! Editorial photoshoots are often a result of my wanting to design with challenging product and bonus if it can be practice for an upcoming event. They serve as education and rehearsal - as a former dancer, the importance of rehearsal runs deep. We added 100+ hydrangeas to the farm this fall, and now that I know how to handle them, I’m so excited to use them all in future designs. Huge props to @skylaramh for sitting through a 4 hour hair design and another 4 hour floral robe design. Both were very heavy. Each were created on-site day-of. All the flowers are real and we worked as fast as we could, as nothing had a water source. More on the headpiece to come. It was a collaborative design made with Skylar’s hair and dozens of flowers-and warrants its own post! I’m forever grateful for getting the opportunity to grow and work with such abundance, and create art-forward designs to share with you all. I’m also grateful for our design team and the folks that poured energy into this! Dearest Gentle Readers, Let us eat cake! This one is for the Bridgerton fans of Golda Rosheuvel and those intrigued by the story of Marie Antoinette. I’ve always been interested in period pieces, primarily for the dramatic settings they portray and the exquisite and ornate costuming. I always think of Marie Antoinette and her infamous saying -“Let them eat cake”, her response to being told that her subjects had no bread to eat, which illustrated the crown’s obliviousness to the burdens of the poor. (A somewhat relatable parallel to the present-day political arena-IMO. ) When I watched Bridgerton, specifically season 3-the best season, I did a bit of a deep dive into the real Queen Charlotte. Which led me to the discovery that the Queen and Marie Antoinette were actually best friends, pens pals. Queen Marie Antoinette is best known for her life of luxury and opulence in Versailles. She immensely impacted fashion and she is referred to by some as the world’s first influencer. Marie Antoinette’s era included many exuberant fashion trends, but Antoinette’s hair designs often took the cake (pun intended). Her hairdresser would build her hair up to an impressive heights and adorn it with everything from feathers, pearls, jewels, and even a miniature battleship. I love Bridgerton’s Golda Rosheuvel’s Queen Charlotte, which perhaps is a mix of Charlotte and Antoinette, in all her wit and her mistakes. And I love the world that Shonda Rhimes’ created within the show. This editorial moves beyond the frivolity of Bridgerton and into a more serious demo, something a little darker and strange. So many people and talents came together for this theatrical exploration and indulgent floral design-I am so grateful to work with this creative team! Officially the last design of the season… at least for the fresh cuts! The opportunity to do this editorial was very unexpected as most of our florals had faded with the heavy frosts that hit a few weeks ago. I walked through our tomato tunnels, bummed that we had lost a pretty substantial crop of both veggies and flowers due to the weird weather, but something caught my attention. The colors of the unripe frosted fallen tomatoes seemed to jump out and sing to me 😂. They NEEDED their moment. And so I convinced @countyrailfarm , once again, to help me with a final design of the season. And it became one of my all time favorites. This design celebrates the messiness of a long intimate meal with guests that probably drank a bit too much. Linens bunched, toppled vessels, and food falling all around. It was also a practice in using what I had on-hand. The garden roses in the design look scalloped, and if you look closely, have a lace-like pattern imprinted in their petals. This is from the frost crystals making their mark after our first low temps. The little yellow blooms are actually flowers from bolted broccoli found in the broken down home field. The butterfly ranunculus glisten in the sun, an indication that they are actually well past their prime - I LOVE this about Butterfly Ranunculus, the older they get, the shinier they become. The last of our dahlias, and scavenged Lisianthus from the very back of the cooler. A couple orchids from another design, hand-tied Ammi lanterns from a patch of Ammi too late planted and never fully harvested. AND a load of frost-bitten green tomatoes. All together held upright with the most beautiful vessels by @omo________ . All in a field at the farm. Scroll to see all the details, including @elliehover OWNING this look! TGIF. This photo seemed appropriate! I had fun in the sun styling and designing our newest collection of handmade ceramic treasures by @omo________ . We were crazy busy last season planning, growing, and designing, collaborating and creating new opportunities. One of the biggest projects we completed was comissioning 4 new collections of one-of-a-kind vessel collections from @omo________ , each in a different color way. These are incredibly special; not only were they designed and curated just for us but we had the opportunity to support a wonderfully talented Montana artist. These are heirloom pieces that will be available for rent to our full service wedding parties in the near future. Custom order vessel collections (to keep) are also an option for completely unique tablescapes and beautiful wedding gifts. More coming soon! This editorial tablescape was inspired by the rotting and frost bitten green and yellow tomatoes on the farm. Finding beauty in what most people would discount. This is one of my all time favorite tablescapes designs, something unusual and unexpected, brought to life with unique colors and these gorgeous vessels, captured by fine art photographer @ellieanaphotography (HIRE HER) Modeled by @elliehover (🤍) HAMU by @rachel.rockwood.mua (my rideordie) Custom ceramics @omo________ Botanically dyed scarf by @mtn_naturals Dress @forloveandlemons Design and Creative Direction @nectartap Design team @countyrailfarm @nightpiebaking

One last ‘White Lotus’ for now, with @cosmos.floral @whitneyflove and @jessicalyndean featuring the large scale installation ‘Calla Lilly Strata’ @florabellamissoula . This piece mimics the contours of a calla lily, a big bouquet of them; the work of @kendallkendallbusterbuster and Simon Allen. I couldn’t not include this massive suspended art piece especially in a space called Florabella in the Rose neighborhood of the Garden City! 🌸 💐 Venue: @florabellamissoula Tablescape Custom Floral Vessels: @omo________ Custom Painted “Cupids” Tablecloth: @dgaphne Tablecloth Printing: @westernsensibility 📸 @jessicalyndean ☺️

Rouge + Rose Editorial Part II. A combination of the richest palette with incredible vessels made by @mud_wench Design: I wanted to create a feel that was wild and tangled but intentional all in one. This editorial was shot early June when the June-bearing strawberry plants began to fruit. Walking through our fields, I love when plants catch my eye and call out in a way that they become little muses. Actually, Most of my designs are inspired this way. Flower led-Listening to how flowers talk always inspires design for me; their silent language and how they want to be seen ☺️ . So between finding the most nostalgic little white chapel tucked back behind a hay field and discovering the strawberries beginning to bring in abundance, there was an opportunity to showcase the lushness of the season, its deep burgundies, gold, and vibrant greens. Vessels- @mud_wench work elicits mystery and something from the past, you can tell that each piece has been molded and worked over and over. These massive vessels have been through their own journey, from being sculpted to finding their final colors and textures through an extensive wood-firing process. Designing into artworks like these is such an honor. Unlike using mass made or production pieces from the box stores, these pieces call for a more intentional and thoughtful process; the vessels themselves elicit such a presence on their own and call for certain designs and emotion. I can’t thank Kayla enough for trusting us with her work during these shoots - it’s been such a joy to get to know her and design with her and her creations this season. 🪄 Images by @jessicalyndean Private locations @ethereal.gatherings

Rouge + Rose Editorial I. This design was hauntingly beautiful, shot in the most secret of Montana’s spots. I had seen a glimmer of what I thought was a small white chapel on private land near our farm and thought about it for months before I hesitantly approached the landowners. When I revealed my silly request to investigate the “little white building” and potentially shoot a floral design, they welcomed me with open arms (this isn’t always the case in rural Montana!). The family is 7th generation Montana ranchers and have the most gorgeous spread of land, with a river that runs through it ;). And sure enough, there is a small white chapel with 3 walls and roof. The entire back wall was never built and instead frames the river bend behind it, which from a design standpoint, is gold. The entire space seeps with nostalgia and mystery; Montana’s true essence mixed with a bit of witchiness and a bit of Pride and Prejudice. . Florals- were especially fun and challenging as I dove into a rich palette of burgundy and mauves. I have never been drawn to red, but this year red warmth has been a go-to. We paired rich garden roses with dancing ranunculus, accenting arrangements with strawberry foliage and berries. Rosary- although I’m not a religious person, I’ve always had an interest in ritual and religion. The rosary that wrapped the bridal bouquet was made from fresh rose petals from our farm. A process that involves the repetitive act of crushing, mixing, rolling, and drying petals into beads that are later strung into a rosary, or piece of jewelry. When worn or “praying the rosary”, the oils of your skin draw out the rose fragrance, a natural perfume. . The Dress- a vintage gem, with the most beautiful silk layering, hand stitched beading, pearls, and extra long train. Honestly one of the most flattering and unique dresses I’ve ever seen! It truly set the stage for the final mood and aesthetic. As my interest and curiosity in floral design grows, I see how every element is pivotal in how designs are viewed or experienced. This one was particularly enticing! Images by @jessicalyndean MUA @rachel.rockwood.mua Model @olivia_ellis_ Dress @clairdelune.sf

Summer Mood 3/3: Painted Tongue + Shirley poppies. Painted tongue aka: salpiglosis was my favorite new variety discovery this year. I love the detail and color variation and how they are so dainty but still carry a mysterious feel. And Shirley poppies!! A totally unrealistic choice for a bridal bouquet (but one can dream)! They are the most fleeting but are so delicate, papery thin, and come in the most beautiful shades. This bouquet also included ITOH peonies and garden roses, it was a new type of design for me; smaller, rounder, with more variety blocking, and it was ever evolving, as flowers danced and petals dropped. About the design: it is no secret that I LOVE a moody palette. I’ve always been a hopeless romantic, loving tales like Romeo and Juliet, and really anything with a bit of darkness, mystery, and grit. I find the most depth, inspiration, and the rawest beauty within a moody aesthetic, scenes and spaces that call us to dig deeper into a whole spectrum of emotion and connection. This design was an exploration of moodiness within an almost all white palette. Dichotomy is my favorite catalyst when it comes to working with design. A moody feel in the brightest palette. It was also an opportunity to design with abundance; our peonies, garden roses, Canterbury Bells took front seat in this design, along with smokebush, salpiglossis, and the ever-fleeting poppies that are nearly impossible to design with 😆. The design was also an exploration of maximalism, with a bit of Frida Kahlo inspiration in my brain. Maximalism—because why not? And because it’s a celebration of florals. I love a simple and minimalist design, but I also want to celebrate the language of each individual flower and how they come together to create a broader experience and feel. Thanks to @rachel.rockwood.mua for creating a stunning mood on @skylaramh ! This one was so fun to play and get creative with. @jessicalyndean for literally always capturing the look I want 💕 @skylaramh for owning this vibe. Someone sign her already! @clairdelune.sf for this perfect dress of tailored clouds ☁️.
