J+P’s wedding weekend was woven with MAGIC— sculpted grasses against the Mission Mountains , oversized braids, and delicate guest brooms awaiting their place beside tables adorned with baguettes and butter sculptures. A gathering where horse-girl energy met contemporary editorial design, creating a world both timeless and cinematic. Eremurus (foxtail lily) stealing the show! These wild blooms remind me of something from another world and I gasp every time I see them. They grew to almost 8 feet tall before we cut them and each one seems to have its own personality. . It’s amazing how something so fantastic comes from a small seed or root. I’m in constant awe of the beauty that the farm/nature creates each year. We are at its whim and along for the ride! And this year has certainly been a RIDE. Between season extension (we started our harvests in February with winter tulips), mini tornadoes and massive wind storms, insane aphid pressure and threatening frosts in June, I’ve been on an emotionally and physically taxing journey. This week I hit a wall. And what made this week so hard was a comment someone made during our last subscription pick-up; generally im great at filtering the comments but this one cut like a 🔪. He came in to pick up a bundle for a friend and proceeded to tell our employee that he “hated” the flowers. That he disliked them all and that they weren’t big enough. And the worst was the tone and disappointment he used towards one of our crew members. This kiilllllls me. And when someone mistreats our crew I get all mama bear. I bring this up because so often I post the beauty and goodness of the farm, but the behind the scenes are full of emotion, grit, tears, marathon days, managing and processing the interactions I have with so many humans on all the platforms. It’s fulfilling but also absolutely exhausting. I was reminded recently that the world is hyper focused on the negative right now. That beauty and gratitude are often overshadowed, creating so many to become jaded. It was amazing how this person’s negative attitude really brought me down. So I’m working on that, on thicker skin but also cultivating more patience and compassion. All this to say, I’m grateful for your kind words, for your support, for recognizing our crew and the work we do. 💛 Photos @jessinmissoula

My Girl-my absolute greatest journey in this life, she’s the one that loves “fowlers 🌷,” is full of kindness and creativity. The one that has perfected puppy dog eyes with her mamas (see cover photo 😌 we fold every time) gives the best hugs and the one with the biggest sweet tooth. Liora House at the farm—From the beginning, our intention was to create a space where others could come to land and reconnect with the earth. A place filled with birdsong, the hum of crickets, a babbling brook, and the scent of soil growing something beautiful. Over the past five years, alongside local builders, blacksmiths, and artists, we’ve brought that vision to life—crafting a quiet retreat space from repurposed natural materials, with expansive windows that immerse you fully in the landscape. Tucked into the west fields of our farm sits Liora House. Liora means “light,” or “I have light”—a reflection of the wisdom, joy, and illumination we each carry within. And given that the house has windows in every direction, the opportunity to bask in natural light is around every corner. The space invites rest and reconnection, complete with a brand new cedar sauna and surrounding fields of seasonal organic vegetables and flowers to wander through and gather from. Creation is at the heart of everything we do, and we feel especially called to hold space for artists—writers, poets, and makers of all kinds. We feel that artists are the glue to holding our society together, inspiring critical thought and exploring our connection to the surroundings. Our hope is that one day Liora House will evolve its own seasonal artist residency program. The world desperately needs artists and their work and each season we try and find ways to shine light on creators that we respect and love.
