Drifting between echoes of antiquity and the intimacy of personal myth, Daphne Sweet's (@dgaphne ) work conjures a dialogue between past and present. Through vivid color, dense patterns, and a playful hand, both her paintings and ceramic works awaken classical motifs with renewed urgency and tenderness. She reclaims the feminine archetypes of history—those immortalized in marble and myth—and reframes them through a lens of contemporary reflection. In her world, sensuality is neither concealed nor defined; it hovers in the space between ambiguity and awareness. Symbols of selfhood and wild frontiers form a visual language that speaks in whispers and declarations alike. Each object, each figure, becomes part of an evolving allegory—at once timeless and deeply personal—where mythology is not merely remembered, but lived anew. Daphne encourages us all to reflect on our own modern mythologies. On Exhibition through July 26th at Leon. Photos by @wmartistservices
