☀️No Rain on This Parade!☀️ 🌸This past Sunday, Consul General Otsuki and Consulate staff and families marched in 59th Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival’s Grand Parade – the culmination of two weeks of festivities in San Francisco Japantown! This year’s parade featured laughs with Grand Marshal Atsuko Okatsuka @atsukocomedy and big cheers for Community Marshals Roy & PJ Hirabayashi and Steve Nakajo. @nc_cbf was amazing as 2 weeks of @cherryblossomfest ended with the Grand Parade over @streetsofsf heading to @sf_japantown Just like a cherry blossom, life is short and sweet, and every moment is precious. It remind us to live in the present and appreciate the beauty around us. 🌺 🌸 The @wildbayarea celebrated the NorCal Cherry Blossom Festival in @japancentermalls as many gathered and enjoyed the amazing culture. Pictured in this set is the grand finale of the annual para @sfmikoshi , a portable Shinto shrine weighing in at over 1,000 pounds, is hauled by the SF Ta Mikoshi Ren, a group of over 140+ volunteers, across th parade route to spread blessings, joy and good luck.
