I’ll be sketching portraits (people and animals!) for 2 hours only tomorrow morning at the Eco Art Mart.
Drawing is a very meditative and mindful process, requiring the artist to be extremely present in the moment. Often for the sitter, they too will have a moment to reflect while being drawn. By taking these moments to slow down and truly be present, we can learn how to appreciate what we have, what we value, and what we choose to spend our time on. Commissioning a portrait is quite personal and not usually a throwaway item - these are pieces of art to be cherished and valued as it captures a moment in time.

Last month I wrapped up a project for @opponewzealand , creating bespoke box and case designs for their latest 5G phone series. Responding to their campaign theme of Beyond The Light, the artwork was sparked by a visit to an amazing garden, with the colours inspired by bioluminescence, and nocturnal animals based on the New Zealand ruru and jewelled gecko. #illustration
