I’ve never felt anything like the energy of the completion of a Puhoro.
There’s a life long connection you have to the people who you shared the moment with.
I’m deeply grateful to those that open these doors and spaces for me to document.
Ngā mihi nui Casey for sharing your journey with me & Fern for supporting my mahi toi and trusting me to document hers 🖤🤍❤️

Was really special to watch this piece come together I spent some of the best times of my life around this piece of stone on Hakanoa Street in Grey Lynn many years ago and now look forward to creating present day ones 💛
It was an honour, 40 years after the first Aiga team was formed, to sit down with the man who started it all Paramount Chief Nari Felix.
Through his stories, we gained a deeper understanding of the true meaning of Aiga. Family, love, culture and community, all values that have been instilled in Ponsonby Rugby League since the very beginning.
Rare opportunities like this aren’t taken for granted and we are here to make sure these stories live on for many generations to come.
Once again, thank you Paramount Chief Nari Felix for sharing with us the history of Ponsonby Aiga, stories that only you can tell. To hear you speak of your unwavering love for Ponies and your Aiga reminds us why we belong here.
2026, with the blessings of our elders, leaders and community, we move forward to tell our stories.
This is only the beginning.
This is our story.

Had to do right by the old neighbourhood and put @petraleary up in lights she was born in a barn on Schofield Street she is literally Grey Lynn’s Jesus and I taught our dog @kodakthekelpie everything he knows on Surrey Crescent. My long time friends Emily & Calis whose brand @vic_nz is named after the original skatepark we all formed core memories at, so it was very fitting to see the skateboarders representing on the local billboard by our old stomping grounds. Thanks fam 💙
