Little announcement 🌿🎙️
W piątek o 19:00 wpada rozmowa ze mną w @freirad_innsbruck ✨
Po polsku z @polka_na_zagraniczu ! 🇵🇱

Intellectual travel bucket list ✅
From MIT to Harvard, Cornell, and GenSpace, what an experience the last USA visit brought me - but what truly made the last visit so exciting was the PEOPLE. 🫂🎓
Friends, colleagues, familiar faces intertwined across so many contexts, cities and disciplines: from courses like HTGAA, symposiums, collaborations, and common colleagues.
One thing led to another. 🔁✨ A web of conversations, labs, ideas, and reunions that makes you feel connect - part of the community🙏
With each other year, I value the communities around the world I am surrounded with more and more and that trip was just an example of how strong it can grow and how important is to cherish it! 💪
Very grateful for these encounters, shared curiosity, and the energy that comes from the exchange and learning together. It was awesome to visit you all! 🌱

~2025~
Coming back — but from the other side 🌿
In 2025, I returned to @howtogrowalmostanything as a Teaching Assistant (TA). Supporting others while continuing to learn myself was a challenge, but left natural as part of the journey.
I joined one of the laboratory nodes @lifefabs - in London, often tuning in from Innsbruck. They definitely cool guys!
Teaching in this context isn’t about having all the answers - it’s about learning together, holding space for experimentation, and translating curiosity into practice. They beauty of discovery. It's been super fun to be part of such an exciting team from the @mitmedialab
Very grateful for the trust and the opportunity to give back.
And cheers to all 15h Final Presentations Zoom Meetings, filled with participants, TAs around the globe and presentations of all the cool ideas developed there 🥂 its definitely something special ✨
📢 The applications for HTGAA 2026 are now open, find more: @howtogrowalmostanything and @davidsunkong
~ 2024 ~
Some journeys start quietly 🌱
I joined How To Grow (Almost) Anything as a student in 2024, driven by curiosity and a long-held fascination with genetics - almost a childhood dream of understanding how life works from the inside.
👷♀️👩🔬 Listening, experimenting, asking questions, and learning alongside others opened up an entirely new way of thinking about materials, systems, and living processes.
What started as a curiosity project slowly became direction for my PhD!
🥊💥 Don't get me wrong its hella of a challenge as an architect to get into genetics. But the @howtogrowalmostanything with @davidsunkong Is doing it well!
Grateful for a space that allowed me to begin this journey.
Our "Image of Science", published in Zukunft Forschung magazine, captures something rare:
🕰️ visible imprints of time on a living material.
A trace of growth, transformation, and biological rhythms unfolding beyond human control.
Science doesn’t always freeze moments. Sometimes, it lets them breathe.
As one of many "pushes" before the end of the year, I particpated in the UIBK PhD Symposium "Abstractions" organized by @0___more where I showed the updates in my PhD work.
The positive comments came to my suprise, thinking I was a bit confused, not having enough to show, somehow chaotic, not "yet" ready - proved me wrong and showed that these "little pushes" are worth it!
So if you are not sure if you should particpate in something or you feel like you dont have enough, just go for it, give it a try! You probably do have enough! 💪
Turned out a little motivatinal, but maybe somone will need it at the end of the year 😅
🟠 Fungal Fruiting Forms
What happens when we stop suppressing fruiting bodies growth in mycelium materials and instead design with it?
This project explores the structural and aesthetic potential of fruiting bodies: mushrooms that emerge naturally during cultivation.
By letting them grow, we discovered they can bio-weld elements together — forming rigid, living joints and rich surface textures.
It’s a shift from suppressing fungi to collaborating with them inviting their full lifecycle into design. 🍄
The project is now exhibited as part of the Virtual Exhibition @cocoon.bio ! 💚

First Pitching experience! 🗣️🎤
And guess what it was about Mycelium 🍄
A few days of #p2i in Action in Edinburgh was a blast!
I was very happy to share some of the concepts and ideas with the team at the workshops!
And It was awesome to meet so many new friends there! Loved the energy of like-minded people - it really does the job!
@edinburghuniversity@uniinnsbruck
One of my favourite feelings lately is feeling INSPIRED ✨
And I can honestly say that p2i Network “In Action” was exactly what I needed - an energising week full of great vibes, motivated people, and genuine inspiration.
Such a powerful combination, trust me.
On a professional level, it was exciting to see the many routes through which research can translate into real-world impact - and just how close the researcher’s mindset is to the entrepreneurial one.
What a great event. It's been already a month!
Cheers to this year’s organisers at The University of Edinburgh 👏
Still buzzing with the good energy!
@edinburghuniversity@uniinnsbruck
It was a pleasure to present the MUSE on-going material research at the #CircularStrategies Symposium 2025 in Vienna this year.
Great efforts of our team! 🍄✨
What a great event it has been, inspiring talks and conversations with colleagues and friends in this lovely setting!
Also happy to finally visit Die Angewandte!
