Meet the NAP+ 2026 Selection Committee: Nieck de Bruijn founded Upstream in 2003 with a focus on radical, engaged, conceptual, and digital art. In 2025, Upstream presented a solo booth by Jan Robert Leegte at NAP+. The Best Booth jury — consisting of Daniela Petovic (director of the KPN collection and Heden), Jorrit van Bavel (Curator/Conservator of the Albert Heijn Collection), Adriana Gonzalez-Hulshof (director of museum Kranenburg), and Sam van Rooij (private collector) — unanimously selected him as Best Booth of NAP+ 2025 for his bold presentation in which he “literally placed the viewer outside the booth.”

Meet the NAP+ 2026 Selection Committee: Sophie Barrett-Pouleau is a London-based art worker and curator whose practice focuses on aspects of ‘the Live’. Her work explores liveness through performance, film, sound, and archival practices, with a particular interest in materiality, traces, and the afterlife of the work. Since 2018, she has independently produced exhibitions, public programmes, events, and radio shows in London and elsewhere in Europe, with a focus on making contemporary art accessible and fostering creative exchange. Sophie continually deepens her engagement with the impact of liveness and also works as director of Harlesden High Street and as associate director of Minor Attractions Art Fair. She has previously collaborated with leading art institutions including ICA London, Tate, Mimosa House, Camden Arts Centre, Lahmacun Radio (Budapest), and Radiophrenia (Glasgow).

Artist highlight NAP 2025 - Dagmar Bosma is an artist working across installation, sculpture, text, and textile-based practices. Through tactile materials and site-specific interventions, Bosma explores themes of transformation, intimacy, memory, and the traces histories leave behind on bodies and spaces. @marianvanzijlll @willie_creative_space @tuff_n_tender NAP+ Centrale Markthal Amsterdam 17-20 September 2026

Artist highlight NAP 2025 - Vytautas Kumza, Blurring the line between photography and installation, Kumza’s practice stages uncanny encounters between objects, images, and illusion where the everyday turns strange and the artificial reveals itself. @martin_van_zomeren @vytautaskumza NAP+ Centrale Markthal Amsterdam 17-20 September 2026

Artist highlight NAP 2025 - Loes van Roozendaal is a painter exploring perception, light, and time, transforms everyday scenes into intimate studies of subtle colour and atmosphere. Through layered brushwork and restrained compositions, her works capture fleeting moments of stillness, encouraging viewers to rediscover the quiet tension and beauty within the ordinary. Her paintings evoke a sense of suspended time where memory, light, and emotion softly dissolve into one another. @lang.gallery.nl @loesvanroozendaal NAP+ Centrale Markthal Amsterdam 17-20 September 2026

Looking back at NAP+ 2025, where Tim Ayres presented new work on a new support. On aluminium panels he painted words and short sentences with loose brushstrokes. Unlike his earlier canvases, in which he employed typefaces, the emphasis here lies on handwriting. The placement and shape of the individual letters determine the composition and rhythm of the pictorial surface. @msimons.gallery @tim.ayres
