The sun may not be at its strongest in winter, but here at NantStudios, it's still more than enough to keep our facilities powered up and ready to go.
It's been a little over two years since solar panels were installed across our campus roof in El Segundo, LA. In that time, we've reduced our site's carbon footprint by 871 tons - the equivalent of planting 174,000 trees!
Virtual Production can play a key role in reducing both transport and logistics emissions, and construction waste within the production industry. And with both our El Segundo and @docklands_studios campuses running on renewable energy, the tech we use won't cancel out those environmental savings.

Since launching our Dynamic Volume System late last year, we've been amazed at the response we've received from the Virtual Production community.

It's one of the most gripping and enduring tales in modern history, and we were blown away to see how well our partners at @studio.ulster brought it back to life in 'Titanic Sinks Tonight', a miniseries which recounts the entire disaster in real time.
Studio Ulster's very own Dynamic Volume System handled the various setups needed in Belfast, Northern Ireland; right where the Titanic was actually built.
The Ulster team were also supported by two of our own brilliant crew, @loubdesign and @nathanvrfx !
