When Kiwi businesses succeed overseas, they grow our economy at home.
They create more jobs, lift wages and put more money in back pockets.
I’m in Shanghai with top Kiwi exporters, backing them to grow in China, our biggest trading partner.
Sharing the video when I sworn in as a Member of Parliament in New Zealand. I’m very humble and grateful for this opportunity to service our people, our community and our country.
Thank you to all my family and friends who came to Parliament to witness the moment when I delivered my maiden speech. I’m truly grateful and blessed with the amount of encouragement and support that led me to this moment.
I’ll post the link to my speech in a separate post. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart. Now this is just the beginning, let’s get back to work and get our country back on track!!!

New Zealand's Resource Management Act (RMA) has been blocking projects for too long. Everything from homes and commercial buildings to renewable energy
I spoke with Minister Chris Penk about the RMA reforms National is delivering to cut through the red tape and get projects moving faster 🏗💪

Honoured to join the Fiji Girmit Foundation to commemorate the 147th Girmit Anniversary and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contribution of the Fijian Indian community here in New Zealand, alongside our Prime Minister @christopherluxon , Minister for Health @simeonbrownmp , Minister for Ethnic Communities @markmitchellmp as well as my National Party MP colleagues and candidates. Such a strong National Party presence to support our ethnic communities!
The story of the Girmitiyas is one of resilience, sacrifice, courage, and hope. Their legacy continues through generations of Fijian Indians who have helped shape communities across New Zealand.
Events like this are a powerful reminder that our country is stronger because of its people, its diversity, and the shared values that bring us together.
Congratulations to the organisers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this special commemoration possible.

A real privilege to meet Her Excellency Ms Muanpuii Saiawi, the new High Commissioner of India to New Zealand, who recently just arrived in New Zealand and to hear her speak.
Her Excellency brings a remarkable depth of diplomatic experience to New Zealand. She has served in Indian missions in the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Israel, and held senior roles in India’s Ministry of External Affairs, including in disarmament, international security, cyber diplomacy, and emerging strategic technologies.
New Zealand and India share strong people-to-people, cultural, education, trade, and strategic links. I look forward to seeing these connections continue to grow under her leadership.
A warm welcome to New Zealand, High Commissioner.

This is why I support National.
Victims of serious crime deserve to be put first — not made to feel like the offender’s reputation matters more than the harm they have caused.
If we are re-elected this November, National will continue to restore law and order by making sure serious crime comes with real consequences.
Our plan to remove good character assessments as a reason to reduce sentences for sexual offending is about putting victims first.
A person’s “good reputation” should not outweigh the experience, trauma, and rights of the victim.
This change builds on the work National has already done to strengthen law and order, including limiting sentencing discounts, giving victims more say on name suppression, and making stalking a jailable offence.
National is fixing the basics, backing victims, and restoring real consequences for crime.
Safer communities start with a justice system that puts victims first.

Did you know New Zealand has a Minister for Space? 🚀
Many New Zealanders don't realise how important the space industry is to our country. From the technology that helps us live and work, to high-skilled high-tech jobs driven by companies like Rocket Lab.
I spoke with Minister @chris_penk_nz to find out how National is backing space companies to keep doing their important work and build for New Zealand's future
Great to hear directly from tradies in Christchurch with our Prime Minister @christopherluxon and National MP for Ilam, @hamishcampbellforilam , at @placemakerschristchurch .
The building and construction sector is one of the engines of New Zealand’s economy. Our tradies, builders, suppliers, and contractors are not just building houses, roads, and workplaces, they are building the present and future of our country.
That is why we are focused on cutting red tape, reducing costs, and backing growth across the sector.
We have made changes to make it easier to build granny flats, reduce unnecessary barriers to importing quality overseas building materials, and progress major RMA reform through Parliament to make building faster, simpler, and more affordable.
When builders can get on with the job, New Zealand moves forward.
