Today is a big day for us. We conducted a study on a very dear topic to us - the outdoor time of children. We wanted to know: what is the current status of children’s outdoor time in Switzerland? How much time do they spend outdoors, and what are the impacts? That’s why we surveyed over 1’000 parents during November and December 2023, in Switzerland about their children’s outdoor time. It turned out that, on average, children spend 22.5 hours indoors. Daily. Two-thirds of the surveyed parents claim to have spent more time outdoors as children than their own kids. Wir haben eine Studie durchgeführt zu einem Thema, das uns sehr am Herzen liegt - die Outdoor Zeit von Kindern. Wir wollten wissen: Wie genau steht es aktuell um die Outdoor-Zeit von Kindern in der Schweiz? Wie viel Zeit verbringen Kinder an der frischen Luft und wie wirkt es sich auf sie aus? Aus diesem Grund haben wir im November und Dezember ‘23 über 1’000 Eltern aus der Schweiz zur Outdoor Zeit ihrer Kinder befragt. Dabei kam heraus, dass Kinder im Schnitt 22.5 Stunden drinnen sind. Zwei Drittel der befragten Eltern geben an, als Kind mehr Zeit an der frischen Luft verbracht haben als ihre eigenen Kinder. After last week’s pre-opening, last Saturday marked our official opening of the very first namuk Pop-Up Store in Germany – right here at the @littlebylittle.studio . It was a really nice day. Throughout the afternoon, families explored the space, discovered our collection, enjoyed a Matcha latte or Flat White from @suuapinga , and chatted with our team. The kids had a blast at our Photo Booth – throwing leaves in the air and capturing that true namuk feeling of adventure and nature. 🍂 They also got creative, designing their own namuk bags from leftover fabrics of previous collections. Later in the afternoon, Little by Little hosted a joyful kids’ dance session sponsored by us. We were so happy to finally get to know some of our namuk ambassadors with which we have been working for quite a while - it’s always nice to finally meet in person. Music and good vibes came from our talented visual merchandiser and DJ Lilaine, and the kids loved the delicious snacks from @mogli_de – they disappeared almost instantly. Luckily, they were also tucked into our goodie bags, so everyone who got one could enjoy them later (though many couldn’t wait that long and opened theirs right on the spot 😉). To keep everyone refreshed, we also served ice tea from @nosuga.de , which was a big hit with the kids. 🍹 From our namuk team, Simon from our E-Com team, Lena and Valentina from Marketing, and our founder Franz were there to welcome guests, chat, and share stories. There is so much to discover on this hoodie. The ideas for this print come directly from the travel diaries of the girls from the Walton family. With notebooks in their luggage, they captured their adventures during their trip through Switzerland. Their colorful drawings eventually turned into this print and a joint product. 🎨 We were excited to see how this design, inspired by kids' drawings, would be received, so we sent the hoodie to our ambassador @kirstypardede Her two kids are curiously discovering everything they can see on this piece of clothing, and ideas for their own drawings are already bubbling over. Ein Herz aus dem Wald Manchmal liegt das schönste Geschenk einfach am Boden, man muss es nur finden. Wusstet ihr, dass sich eigentlich in jeder Astgabel ein Herz versteckt? Die Natur liefert die Form schon mit, man muss es nur noch ausarbeiten. Besonders gut gelingt dies, wenn die Astgabel schon ein kleines bisschen morsch ist. So geht das Schnitzen auch für kleinere Kinder leicht. Es lohnt sich, die Beschaffenheit des Holzes schon beim Suchen kurz zu testen. Mit einem Schnitzmesser, etwas Schleifpapier, einen dünnen Zweig und ein paar Wildblumen wird aus einem schlichten Fundstück ein ganz persönliches, handgemachtes Geschenk. Und weil Sonntag Muttertag ist: Die schönsten Geschenke kommen nicht aus dem Laden. Sie kommen aus dem Wald! Our new Lika Sun Hoodie in the Walton design was created in collaboration with our ambassador family, the Waltons from @thewaltonadventure . It was so much fun co-designing it together with a real adventure family. They wanted a UV hoodie that protects their kids from the sun while canoeing or hiking in summer. That’s why we chose a lightweight, recycled material: Econyl®, made from recycled fishing nets. The fabric dries quickly and feels light to wear. Many of our customers already know it from our quick-drying Linn swim shorts. Unser neuer Lika Sun Hoodie im Walton Design ist in Kollaboration mit unserer Ambassador-Familie, den Waltons vom Instagram-Kanal @thewaltonadventure , entstanden. Es hat uns grossen Spass gemacht, ihn mit einer echten Abenteuerfamilie zu co-designen. Sie wünschten sich einen UV-Hoodie, der ihre Kinder beim Kanufahren oder auf einer Sommerwanderung vor der Sonne schützt. Dafür haben wir ein dünnes, recyceltes Material verwendet: Econyl®, hergestellt aus recycelten Fischernetzen. Das Material trocknet schnell und ist sehr leicht zu tragen. Unsere Kunden kennen es bereits aus unserer schnelltrocknenden Badehose Linn.

We’re so excited to finally share this with you. Those of you who have been following us for over two years already know: our ambassador family, the Waltons from @thewaltonadventure visited us in Switzerland two summers ago. Something came out of that trip that we can finally show you. During their adventures across Switzerland, the three older daughters, Whitney, Mara, and Becca captured their memories in drawings and brought them back to us. At namuk, we turned those into a design. The Waltons wanted a hoodie that would protect them from the sun during their adventures by the water. So we created a UPF 50+ sun hoodie based on their needs. And to make sure their eyes are protected too, we developed our very first namuk sunglasses. We had so much fun co-designing and creating this together. We can’t wait to hear what you think. Wir freuen uns riesig, euch das endlich erzählen zu können. Ihr, die uns hier schon seit mehr als zwei Jahren folgt, wisst es bereits: Unsere Ambassador-Familie, die Waltons von @thewaltonadventure , hat uns vor zwei Sommern in der Schweiz besucht. Deshalb haben wir einen UV 50+ Sun Hoodie nach ihren Vorstellungen kreiert. Und damit auch die Augen geschützt sind, ist unsere erste namuk Sonnenbrille entstanden. Es hat uns grossen Spass gemacht, gemeinsam zu co-designen und zu kreieren. Wir sind so gespannt zu hören, was ihr dazu sagt.
