When Eric told us he was moving to Philly, I felt we had two options - bust our asses and write/record a new record before he left, or lose the momentum we'd gained the past few years and languish as one of those "could've been" bands. Thankfully, we picked the former. I'm very proud of the effort and dedication we put into producing this work as quickly as we did, the level of craftsmanship we achieved with the songs (some of my favorite I've ever been involved in), and the progress we made as musicians and people in the process. We wanted - needed - this record to be fast, urgent, explosive, emotionally evocative. I hope that it can cut through all the static of our enshittified lives and reach you, impart something on you.

Summer slump is upon us 🙌🏻 hmu if you need live drums on your gig, recorded drums/percussion, tracking sessions, overdub sessions, mixing, podcast editing, you name it! Trying to reach journeyman level on this new instrument called The Studio... and keep my meager drum chops 🤣
No silver linings. Trump didn't gain support, in fact he shed almost 3 million, but the Dems lost 15 million votes compared to 2020. Progressive ballot measures outperformed Harris in many states, with abortion protection and minimum wage hikes winning in some red states. So why the massive drop in Dem turnout? Was it stubborn loyalty to Israel while Gaza was torched and leveled, beating and arresting student protesters, appointing an unpopular (yes, she was) candidate last minute with no primary, gladhanding with historic war criminal Dick Cheney, pivoting to fascist border rhetoric, never once mentioning public healthcare, saying "fuck off" to the left while searching for the elusive anti-Trump republican? Hard to say, but hopefully your anger and blame is directed where it belongs, at the DNC, a necrotic den of corporate lackeys who'd rather watch the country burn than upset their donors in the financial, insurance, and defense industries, who once again failed to present a coherent vision of the future beyond "we're not Trump", who in fact appear to do all they can to push away candidates and voters that would distinguish their platform and base from Republicans. Protecting abortion was really the primary motivating factor for Dem voters in this election, and unfortunately it did not appear to inspire a massive turnout (though it won on some state ballots as I mentioned). That obviously upsets me, but equally upsetting is that nothing else of real, concrete policy substance was even offered. I truly believe that the cynical hubris of the DNC is largely to blame for Trump's first and now second term. Which, don't get it twisted, is going to fucking suck. I hope all y'all railing against fascism weren't just talking the talk because it's going to take action to mitigate some of what might be coming down the pipe with Project 2025. Speaking to myself there just as much as anyone else. Anyway, join your union (musicians... DM me) and start building labor power, there may be a general strike on the horizon. Someone has to hold all these fuckers accountable. Solidarity is the only way through. No justice, no peace. ❤️🔥
