In my eternal quest of streamlining production, I decided to give FJÆR a second foot switch. This is the same trick as I used in MIME: a simple infinite feedback that runs as long as you hold the foot switch down. Very fun! Go check out the demo on YouTube!

Yes, the combination sounds great and can cut through mixes like butter, but there is also something to be said about how it feels, under the fingers. Like playing with a compressor, but different. Very inspiring. I even ended up playing lots of doom-ish stuff, simply because it suddenly felt like the right thing to do.

«Frøy» is a different spelling of the name «Frei» and the pedal FRØY is in some ways a different version of FREI, a totally new way to think about the uni-vibe.
Secondary foot switch toggles between regular, but extremely well tuned uni-vibe and a dual mode with a full ReslyTone phasor in front of the uni-vibe, within the same wet loop. This secondary phasor has its own speed control so you can offset them in the timing domain for a very cool, surprisingly authentic-sounding rotary effect.
Fully in the analogue domain!
