The Selmer Buzz Tone is definitely one of my favorite fuzz circuits.
In this build I included quite a few elements to honor the peculiarities of the original from the 60’s. Some of them being:
- NOS RCA 2N2613 Germanium transistors (like in the original)
- Custom made paxolin eyelet board attached to the back plate along with a proper Keystone 3V AA battery holder.
I also included some improvements like audio taper volume pot, battery switch and switchable gain boost.
It truly sounds big and bold and sounds fantastic for both riffing and chords. It also sounds pretty rad on bass.

It’s time for a little combined heads up and appreciation post.
First of all, thank you so much to every one of you that keep buying my products, sending me repairs, engaging in my work and just follow my feed. You give me so much inspiration with all your feedback and engagement and I am very grateful for all of it.
I also thought it would be a good idea to give a little heads up.
Building pedals is a big passion of mine and I have (almost) always done it because I just love doing it. Sourcing parts, experimenting with circuits and mods, working with my hands and pushing myself on problem solving and creativity. It’s been ten years! That feels pretty wild.
But from the start of 2026 I will have some time off to prioritize my greatest project… ever: Becoming a dad!
It feels amazing. And to say that I am looking forward to it would be substantial understatement.
But no worries, it doesn’t mean the end of PYU PYU, just a little break to prioritize the most important things in life.
So if you have been on the fence for some time or just want a PYU PYU pedal for some new inspiration, now might be a good time to pull the trigger. I still have time in 2025 to do some builds.
And lastly, a big thank you and shout out to my girlfriend and baby mama. You are the best support I could ever have. ❤️

The Space Station has arrived! 🚀
It’s a fun and inspiring combination of a Germanium Fuzzrite (RCA 2N2613 & 2N404) followed by a Repeat Percussion tremolo with some mods (Tone switch and output boost.)
It has been very inspire to put the hours necessary into this build and it is truly bitter sweet to let a project like this go out the door. But it is going to the best home!

Rom means space in Norwegian.
As with most of my other builds, this one is nothing too fancy. Just a beautiful reverb that gives you what a reverb should. Three simple and effective controls: mix, tone and space.
It’s neither a spring type or a room type but I guess you could call it something in between. It’s also the same circuit as the basis of the Kongsberg pedal I made quite a few years ago.
This one is for sale and I have parts for more.
A while ago, a really nice gentleman reached out to me, asking me to do my personal take on the germanium version of the old Mosrite Fuzzrite circuit.
So I decided to go real old school and built it in a style that pays homage to what seems to be the very early prototypes of the circuit. But I also added a switch for more low end.
Build with premium components throughout and constructed on NOS 0.15 inch UK made perfboard. And a beautiful pair of RCA transistors including 2N2613 and 2N412.
Some of the other good stuff includes:
- Heavy duty J size Hammond enclosure.
- Switchcraft jacks.
- Carling footswitch.
- NOS mustard and ceramic capacitors.
- NOS carbon composition resistors.
- Omeg pots with custom ordered C350K for the depth.

This one is tuned for less gating and slightly more low end. Super low noise floor and still that punchy, good old Thonk sound!

This one sounds killer! NOS caps and resistors and a sweet old school 0.15 inch pitch stripboard from @pigeonfx .
I have really started to dig this format. Takes the original layout and guts but save quite some space if that’s a priority. Available as a custom option, also with battery.
