I have been seriously debating posting this, simply because this isn’t my sculpture and I’m not sure if anyone actually reads these. This sculpture was done by I believe Brian Wade:

Stranger Things ended this year. Now I know there will be spinoffs and side stories and prequels, such is the age we live in. And frankly I’m happy for the creators. For me, this marks one of the first projects I was truly proud of. I was on the mold team. Not glamorous, not at all. I was sweaty, itchy, and gluing pieces of cracking WED clay sculpture just to keep this thing together in 80 degree heat while I stuck metal shims in it. But in the end as a team we fucking did it. We had no idea what we were working on, just a cool design, and hard work.
@spectralmotion and all the artists involved made a fantastic creature suit, it paired creature acting with puppeteering, and green screen with some of the most organic animatronics I’ve ever seen.
In the end I’m sad to see this series go, and I’m sad I didn’t get to be a part of more of it. But I am happy it was the success that it was, I am grateful to have been some small part in it, and I think that it ended so so well.
