Seasons are changing, and so is our schedule. Playfulness is at the heart of everything we do, and there’s nothing we enjoy more than playing together. Our MVMT.Skills Quest works just like a board game. The goal is to follow and complete the track designed by our team, box by box. Each box includes a skill or a fun task to complete, with some nice prizes to win along the way. The game will run over the next 10 weeks, and you can find more details on how it works on the product page. At @mvmtstudio_ we’re interested in the conversations between disciplines. The cross-pollination of ideas that let you appreciate the full spectrum of your physical fluency. Here’s a snippet of what goes down in Calisthenics, Strength Lab, and Flexibility. Not mutually exclusive. Beautifully interconnected. Overdo the strength work and your tendons pay for it. Overdo the flexibility without building capacity around it and your joints become unstable. The body needs both ends and everything in between. We have classes that isolate the details like you see here, and classes that integrate all of it such as our unique Bodyweight Strength, Mixed Movement, Capoeira and more. This week on Friday 1st, we’re having another Social Sauna and Beats session, in partnerships with @lisbonconnectionweek , to celebrate the public holiday together. @guerrilla_queen will be playing in the main room and our sauna and cold plunges will be running. Come sweat, cool down and stay for a dance or just chill to some nice beats. A moment to unwind and ease into the weekend together. @lisbonconnectionweek is a city-wide festival redefining how DJing can move beyond nightlife and become a tool for wellbeing and togetherness. An unexpected program of fresh formats that unfolds across the city in everyday places, infused with music, creativity, and new ways of being together. This first edition has been shaped with dozens of local communities, through hundreds of conversations with great humans, opening up new ways to connect and feel alive in the city. We are excited to announce that the incredible @winstonreynoldz is coming to the studio in May! Workshop: Frames Of Practice Sunday 31st of May 12-3pm Book via Momence (link in bio) This workshop attempts to examine a framework of ideas which our practice can be built on. We will look into refining our comprehension of various branches of movement through athletic, somatic and artistic practices. How we move, resolve and adapt in response to various physical and creative situations. Through this we expand and attempt to build a deeper self awareness around the act of official and unofficial practice. We will be attempting to sense and cultivate our focus and attention, calming the inner world and developing awareness and strategies to readjust to the pull of today’s vast stream of input. Themes touched can range from acrobatics, improvisation, partner work, internal practices, composition as well as all the other elements that branch out from these starting points. This workshop is open to all levels and spaces are limited.

On Sunday May 3rd from 17:00 to 19:00, we’ll be offering a very special 2-hour steam session with the amazing @warm_clouds_space designed to give your nervous system the conditions it needs to fully reset. The session works on several layers at once. A gradual, iterative warm-up and cool-down supports the cardiovascular system, bringing enriched blood to the internal organs. Oak whisks work through the fascia and muscles, helping release layers of stored tension. Guided meditation and breathwork calm the mind, allowing mental noise to settle. Throughout the session, Alena gently guides your attention to your breath, your sensations, and what your body needs in the moment. The overall experience activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body from a state of stress into deep rest and presence. Alena Pavlenko holds a PhD in Physics and brings over 5 years of experience guiding steam sessions, along with 350+ hours of somatic work and training in IFS (Internal Family Systems).
