Me and my first love called the piano rekindled our love and I’m enjoying this vibe very much. My friend Lendert @instalendert asked if he could store his piano in my studio for a while and I’ve been writing songs on it ever since. Roy @rosendaal advised me on a couple of mics and there I went.
Around the same time I decided that from now on everything I make must be real, moving objects captured through microphones and cables. Embracing live sounds and imperfections. Combine that with new found heartbreak and voila haha.
I love that you can hear the wood, the faulty piano, Hugo’s sizzly cymbals & Renée’s vocal layers. Also, Pieter has been so very important in getting these songs finished.
